RE: Burnout

Hi, thanks for the answer. I hv tried you guys tips but it didnt work well.
I hv tried 2 ways:
1: I rev high in N and then shift to D, the car DID NOT move at all, it jus stood still until the rev come back to about ~900rpm...it feels like fuel cut. Condition: Tried both S and M mode with ESP off

2: I braked hard with my left and floor down on the gas, it spin a little and then rev drops, car loses ALL the power. it feels like fuel cut again, is it something do with the ECU??
Condition: Same as above

Please help guys

PS: Sorry to start a new post with the same old topic, thanks again

Lightly hold the brakes while flooring the gas and when things get going, press the brake just enough to hold the car in place.

Make sure to turn ESP off or activate dyno mode before attempting.

That happens if you're in 'C' mode (the button between the center console storage and the gear shift stick) - the power cuts out for a second, but then you should still take off, just without extended wheel spin.

This shouldn't happen in 'M' at all. 'S' mode should give you at least a brief burnout.

If I want to do burnouts in my C63 I let go of the brake when the wheels start spinning and sort of do a rolling burnout. The last time I just stood on the brake and gas I burned up $200 worth of tire in a few seconds.

If none of this helps you might consider taking your car to the dealer for service - (but don't tell them you're trying to do burnouts :P )

Brain fart - ignore above - I was thinking of the button blk04cobra1 mentions below. the transmission button shouldn't have any effect. You can burn out in comfort, sport, or manual transmission (probably through 3rd gear even) - but like he says below you want the ESP in sport or off.

mtx010--If you hold the ESP button for about 5 seconds, the traction will completely be shut off (a light will pop up saying ESP off). You should then be able to do a burnout pretty easily by just lightly holding the brake pedal and giving it some heavy gas. As stated above, as it gets the tires moving, press down the brake pedal a little more to hold it in place. I would not hold a burnout for more than 30 seconds, but that's just me. Also, be forewarned that once you do it, you won't be able to stop doing it.

hehe, yeah I didn't catch that part. Do not use that technique again ... EVER!

lol

But seriously, it is extremely easy to burnout in a C63, so if you are still having problems even after trying all the techniques you stated then there might be something wrong with your car.

Jesus Christ is this a joke?

Just turn ESP off, put car in S mode and slam on the gas.

Can I just ask what do you guys mean when you guys say "just go in dyno mode"? how do you put the car in dyno mode? is it just ESP fully off?

Nope. Turn the ignition to Level 1. Click on the trip reset button 3 times in quick succession. Then just follow the prompts until you get to the Dynanometer something or other screen and you activate it by pulling on either of the upshift or downshift paddles. (Anybody else who's done this more recently than I have can feel free to correct me if I've missed a step.)

This process disables ESP, ABS, etc., thereby preventing the engine from cutting fuel or the brakes from, well, braking while you're on the dyno. You can actually drive the car in Dyno Mode, but you'd better have life insurance.

Switching off the ignition and then back on resets the car to its regular mode.

Directions above are for pre-2008...trip reset does nothing except set to 0.

I did this with my 09 and it works as it should. Here is part 1 of the video demonstration its pretty easy, part two is on the related videos for more information.

I agree!

I am not trying to be mean or belittle you, but you ask a question like that, and your just begging to be told....
How old are you and what the hell are you doing behind the wheel of a Mercedes?
You want to run a marathon and you cant even walk yet.
Learn how a car works! Learn how to drive a car.
When you know how a car works you will know how to do anything with it.
And frankly, anyone dumb enough trying to do neutral drops in anything like a Mercedes, etc. deserves a real good smack in the head.

#@%& kids...
