Welded diff
Alright, after reading a ton of threads on welding up gears for extra traction, i went ahead and welded mine up.
I put the third back in and went to pull out of my garage, and I just roasted my clutch. I figured that maybe there was some slag left in the bearing, so i dropped it in 4lo and lo and behold something broke loose.
MY ****ING DRIVE LINE.
I'm really pissed at all this BS talk. I welded my junk really wel. And now my driveline is twisted up like a damn pretzel.

What the hell did you all do differently?

He welded the wrong section of the diff. He's supposed to weld spider gears INSIDE the diff not the ring gear and pinion drive, or so called final drive.

Those are jeep gears if I'm not mistaken and common with those pirate4x4 guys rock crawling.
check out discoweb.org and expedetionexchange.com for some good stuff. Lots of good road race stuff being applied offroad. The EE site has amazing stuff and John always keeps stuff in stock and does amazing write ups. I guarantee you will find something you like
