Yes. I drive in S all the time. Well, now that I have 2 speeding tickets in 2 weeks I'll be driving in C.
M mode seems gimmicky. Not clear on the value unless you are tracking the car. But if I were tracking cars I'd drive an M3.

I actually like to shift while in S mode - it limits the engine from going into grandpa territory and allows me to downshift when I want with it being auto the rest of the time.

I am in manual 90% of the time, otherwise in S....I drove the SL63 with the new MCT tranny and thats what I wish our cars could shift like, on the upshift as the down shifts are the same...the upshifts reaction is bang on, hopefully when my lease is up in 2011 the MCT is standard on the C63.
