So, it's one man, one engine. I was really curious to know the name of the guy who built the engine of my C63. Checked the car yesterday (it's still at the dealer for some paperwork. Brazil is rather bureocratic).

The engineer's name in my engine is Ozan Issiz. What's the name in yours, guys? Anyone else got Ozan? lol

Closest you will get is Josef Schmidt.

 

There IS actually a Master Mechanic at AMG named Joachim Schmidt.

How many engineers are there building the engines?

I've googled "Ozan Issiz" but got 0 results. Guess Ozan is the shy type.

Erol seems to be the man, though i'm pretty satisfied with Ozan.

Question: are there designated engineers for each engine type? Or all engineers build any kind of AMG engine? Is there an internal division?

 

Mine is on the list (Thomas Konstantin).

 

I was at a MB dealer in Ft. Lauderdale last week and noticed the name on the engine build was Italian.... Kinda funny having Italian's building these engines, in my opinion great move by the Germans : > ))))) I test drove it with one of my co-worker in the paasenger seat and guess what it was like a rocket even with 3 people (dealer) in the car....lol
The dealer couldn't understand how I knew the car so well... that was priceless : >))))

I got Ozan Issiz too. Have had the car for about 1 month now. Seems pretty darn stout.
