I m looking in to the ECU tunes right now

and here are the 3 companies that i have gathered

MHP / 90+ HP / 52 LB-FT // $6000

Evosport / 80HP 40 LB-FT // $1990

Powerchip / 58hp 57 LB-FT // $1990

Does Evosport work with powerchip?


Anyone think there will be even better ECU upgrades later on?

or should i get it soon if its about the same?

Also what warranty issues does this go with and have anyone encountered any warranty issues with MB?

P.C does work for Evosport, and i dont think MHP is 6000 im sure MHP will fill in the rest

ecu / tcu v3 i think is the 6000 one

they also have a 4500 one if i m correct

but i would like to see the difference

how can the ECU tune be 6000? thats a rip-off.

IMHO, tuners have a lot of work to do in order to duly educate prospective clients on their tunes at a more basic level (as per results in the following poll https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-tune-yet.html)

I think one way is to design more clear and concise websites. I've yet to find a tuner's website that is easy to understand. If there are any tuners out there that agree with me, PM me.

I think Kleemann's at around $1500 (USD) for similar 80 HP gains. Your Evosport/Powerchips #s above may be incorrect since they are the same flash.

Let's not be so quick to judge.

We offer not only WOT ECU but part throttle ECU and TCU tuning as well.

With the $4k stage 2 Renntech tune you get WOT ECU.

With the $6k stage 2 MKB tune you get WOT ECU.

These are not knocks against the competition, just stating facts. Also, if you want just WOT/part throttle ECU the cost for v3 ECU only is $3000.

I have a question. Does anyone claim an 80rwhp increase with just a tune for $1990?
You might get 58rwhp with just a tune and nothing else so be sure you are comparing the right $$$$.

I am pretty confident you will need more than just a tune to pick up 80rwhp numbers. I believe you will need headers and/or more. I got 90rwhp but it took MKB shorty headers, rear cat delete, and a bang up tune.

You need to make sure whether they are talking FWHP or RWHP to make a fair comparison. Just a suggestion.
