removing the grill will make it easier for you to get at it from different angles and hit all the edges... you may miss spots masking it...

I've been using plasti dip. i love this **** haha. with window trim and the trunk chrome honestly you can just mask it off. with the grill though it's easier imo to just take it off the car.
