Hi guys,

This one's for my Canadian neighbours.

50hp + 40/45 lb/ft upgrade for $1500USD.

Is this good and if the dealer ever has to reset or work on the ECU, will the programming be erased? If anyone has these answers I would greatly appreciate it.

 

That is a good deal, just make sure you don't have any ECU updates done by your dealer.

I am guessing that is for a Kleemann tune? Is there a local shop in your area?

 

Hey Dom, don't you mean Oakridge Auto Service (Kleemann). 50hp sounds a little light>>>.Kleemann is showing gains of 65-70 hp all day long....no??/

 

I just finished e-mailing Mike there and that's what he told me. Maybe there are different levels, I guess?

I just e-mailed Oakridge again to ask why he told me only 50HP gain when on the Kleemann site they say a 63-K1 upgrade is 85HP gain.

The numbers I quoted you are rear wheel hp and torque numbers. Sorry about the confusion.

I haven't seen the 85HP claim but I can tell you my K2 package delivered 65HP at the flywheel and I believe Taylor Coleman got about the same.

 

So if the dealer does an ECU update, will it cancel the ECU tune? Then what? That is the only thing at this point holding me back with sending out my ECU to Oakridge Motors...I spoke to Mike about 2 months ago about sending my ECU there.

 

If for some reason the dealer re-flashes your ecu Kleemann will redo the ECU tune the only thing that you would need to pay would be shipping.

 

Perfect, is this written somewhere in their policy or waranty....if this is the case then all I need to do is find some down time for the car Mike, thanks again.

 

I've just spoken with Cory down at Kleemann USA he can confirm this if needed.
