No, I didn't get the net, just got the car today.

Does yours have cut-outs in the mat for the rear rings? Mine doesn't.

Congrats! How do you like it so far? Looks like you bought a used one, so you don't have to baby her for a 1000 miles like I had to .

Mine does have cut-outs in the mat for the rear rings, but there is nothing special about it. Looks like someone took a sharp knife and cut slits in the mat.

Dude are you serious? you are killing me. There are many other nicer boxes that you can get like from Michaels or even rubber maid.

Not to sound mean but I personally would be embarras to open the trunk while there are people around. While that might work it just looks tacky as hell.
Don't get me wrong, the idea works well, it just doesn't look good at all but some people don't care since it is hidden inside the trunk..

To the OP,

You can actually buy a large cargo net for a motorcycle. They actually can get decently big, they are typically 3sqaure feet but expandable to about 4-5 square feet plus they are elastic and they come with multiple hooks.

They typically cost around $10-$15. That would be the best option. My .2c

Thanks! It sure feels hotter than my CLK55, but it does lack some nice features such as Keyless go, easy entry w/ moving seat, moving right mirror when you back up, etc.

How far are the rear cut-outs from the sides of the mat?

The net comes with screws that need to be drilled into the body for it to work. The part number for the net ends in 174.

If anyone knows about a different part or an aftermarket net that can be used without drilling, please let me know! It's hard to believe MB expects you to drill even though the trunk has four hooks!

Those hooks at the top are not for the net. $45 for the net, $60 for installation and it was well worth it.

Does anybody have the OE floor net? Does it fit on the 4 tie-downs or you have to drill?

Do a search on the forum. Someone bought hooks made by Audi and they work greats. It is better than a cargo net and much cheaper

I finally got around to putting the OE floor net in my 2009 C63. The four hooks on the net correspond exactly to the four chrome loops on the floor of the trunk and yes, my trunk floor mat came with the four precut slits for those loops. No additional mounting or drilling required.

Thanks bhamg! I'll be picking up a floor net for my 2010 c63 soon. I bought and returned a rear net because it required drilling, so it's good to know that the floor net lines up with the four rings.

Did you pick up the net from a local dealer? I live in Irvine.

Laguna Niguel had it on sale but I could never get a call answered at parts so I ordered it here ($51.48):

I have the cargo net in my estate but I don't remember what I paid for it. I got it a few days after getting the car cuz I couldn't stand my suitcases flying around in the trunk in corners.
