cargo net

Did you get the floor one? I didn't know there were four rings on the floor. I only found the two near the rear of the trunk. I'll look again. If the floor net works with these four rings, I'll definitely buy it. Just don't feel like drilling holes in the trunk to install the rear net.

Does yours have cut-outs in the mat for the rear rings? Mine doesn't.

Mine does have cut-outs in the mat for the rear rings, but there is nothing special about it. Looks like someone took a sharp knife and cut slits in the mat.

Not to sound mean but I personally would be embarras to open the trunk while there are people around. While that might work it just looks tacky as hell.
Don't get me wrong, the idea works well, it just doesn't look good at all but some people don't care since it is hidden inside the trunk..

To the OP,
You can actually buy a large cargo net for a motorcycle. They actually can get decently big, they are typically 3sqaure feet but expandable to about 4-5 square feet plus they are elastic and they come with multiple hooks.
They typically cost around $10-$15. That would be the best option. My .2c

Congrats! How do you like it so far? Looks like you bought a used one, so you don't have to baby her for a 1000 miles like I had to

How far are the rear cut-outs from the sides of the mat?

Do NOT buy the MB rear cargo net! I bought and returned it a few weeks ago. My 2010 has two metal rings on the floor and two plastic hooks near the top rear, but the net does not reach the top hooks once you hook it to the floor rings! The net comes with screws that need to be drilled into the body for it to work. The part number for the net ends in 174.
If anyone knows about a different part or an aftermarket net that can be used without drilling, please let me know! It's hard to believe MB expects you to drill even though the trunk has four hooks!![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)

Those hooks at the top are not for the net. $45 for the net, $60 for installation and it was well worth it.

I finally got around to putting the OE floor net in my 2009 C63. The four hooks on the net correspond exactly to the four chrome loops on the floor of the trunk and yes, my trunk floor mat came with the four precut slits for those loops. No additional mounting or drilling required.

Did you pick up the net from a local dealer? I live in Irvine.

I have the cargo net in my estate but I don't remember what I paid for it. I got it a few days after getting the car cuz I couldn't stand my suitcases flying around in the trunk in corners.
