cargo net

Anyone here have, or know about options for the trunk to secure items? A cargo net would be great but Im open to options...mostly to hold groceries and bags etc (and preventing them from going all over)

Actually I have the same problem and dealership told me they can do it....but they have to drill holes and a hook into each side of the trunk....so I figured it will cost too much

You can download a C-Class PDF brochure with accessories from the MB website.

My car came with tie downs for the net, nice metal chrome ones, check under your trunk mat. And on the side there are two grocery hooks for your bags. The nets are rather expensive though.

I have the tie downs as well. They were under the mat, but the mat actually has cut-outs for them to go through. I bought a generic net with an elastic border and 4 spring loaded aluminum s-hooks. All for about $20. The net from MB is a bit pricey.

The dealer sells a cargo net and you dont have to drill holes on the car to put it on. It hooks right on with no problem. Its the C-Class net. The dealer usually stock theses

My US '09 C63 already has the hooks/rings for a net but I don't have the net. I don't think it was a dealer add-on because I didn't pay any extra fee what I paid was what was listed as MSRP, meaning it was that way from the manufacturer. I don't know what's up with your with '09 C63s without tie down rings, but if you need/want them I would go to the dealer and have them put them in for free. Like I said though I don't have a net and am not sure if I was supposed to have one, but it's not too big a deal for me - the ladder stays put pretty well without a net.

I hear too many people are having problems with the cargo net, special with the hooks they vibrate too much.
A trunk rubber liner may help

The dealership threw in an all-weather trunk tray for me. It's great.

some have the holes and some don't iirc it depends on if you have rear seat pass through I have seen some that needed to have the anchors purchased as well.

That makes sense. I didn't realize the pass through rear seat was not standard in US cars.

Did you put it on those hooks that came with the car on the side of the trunks?

I checked my 2009 today and it seems that it does have the four tie downs, although the mat doesn't have cut-outs for the rear ones
Is it the same as 2010?

Which of the three nets is best for holding items like gym bag, snow shovel and groceries?

Do NOT buy the MB rear cargo net! I bought and returned it a few weeks ago. My 2010 has two metal rings on the floor and two plastic hooks near the top rear, but the net does not reach the top hooks once you hook it to the floor rings! The net comes with screws that need to be drilled into the body for it to work. The part number for the net ends in 174.

If anyone knows about a different part or an aftermarket net that can be used without drilling, please let me know! It's hard to believe MB expects you to drill even though the trunk has four hooks!

That's the way to go....for sure...Just grab an empty box at Costco and slap that thing in the back and hope whatever juice or sauce doesn't leak through by the time you get home...

Hmm... mine has four tie-downs (metal rings) under the mat + two plastic hooks on both sides of the trunk.

This is how the MB nets look like http://mercedes.dealerfit.com/store/...d909_22725.php

Maybe you should have gotten the floor one? It seems that it should tie to the four tie-downs... although in my 2009 the mat doesn't have cut-outs for the rear tie-downs. Go figure!

Did you get the floor one? I didn't know there were four rings on the floor. I only found the two near the rear of the trunk. I'll look again. If the floor net works with these four rings, I'll definitely buy it. Just don't feel like drilling holes in the trunk to install the rear net.
