That's what I've used - Tech Wax, but number 2. BTW, you are not going to see this WOW effect unless you polish your paint prior to waxing.

Clay car if desired
Apply Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze - it's a mild polish for the paint to really prep it for the carnauba. It buffs up the clear coat. Wipe it off.
Carnauba Moose Wax for a really deep and mirror shine. Wipe it off.
I haven't stepped up to the plate yet for a buffing machine.
Clay car if desired
Apply Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze - it's a mild polish for the paint to really prep it for the carnauba. It buffs up the clear coat. Wipe it off.
Carnauba Moose Wax for a really deep and mirror shine. Wipe it off.

I have had black cars forever, until recently when I decided to go with plain old irridium silver for both the C63 and the ML, ahhh no worries any longer....but what I have done over the years with the black or darker colors, I purchased a California Duster about 15 years ago, this thing saved me from nervous breakdowns and many anxiety attacks, as Gblasten stated, just sitting in the garage it collected dust, so with this California Duster, simply just pass this over the car and it will grab all dust without scratching or harming the paint, again I have used this item for a long long time, it save you from washing the car as most of the time the car is just dusty rather than dirty. I would dust the car off and go for a nice drive, then upon returning I would pass this duster over the car and bingo its clean again. I'm telling you, this is a life saver. I believe the duster is coated with teflon to aid it in picking up the dust safely from your paint.

A Clear Bra can cause the color to alter over time... On a white car for example the clear bra will make it look off-white or white with a hint of yellow over time... You shouldn’t have any problems on black though.
