My C63 at a local car show in Manila
#3
The car costs 130,000 USD locally. Pretty much double the US price. While the wheels can be bought in the States at wheeldude.com
Yeah, the car beside is an EVO X which I think is owned by a local sports cable channel.

That was the white C63. I also know the owner of that car. There are 3 officially imported C63s here. A silver, a white and my black one.
I'll post up more pics of the car and wheels soon. It's summer here right now but for some reason, It has been raining non-stop since last Thursday

It's hard for me to think of where you can really drive those cars in Manila (I tool around in a A-class MB and that is perfect for Manila traffic)...I can only think of maybe the expressways (NLE or SLE). I know that some parts of NLE toward Angeles/San Fernando (where my Dad is from) are relatively smooth area to drive fast...
The C63 or 55 car in the PI is an expensive proposition considering the tariff on imports. I can only imagine the arm and the leg the exotics are or how many people you had to bribe to get them in the PI.
PS I love driving in Manila...the only rule is there is no rules and if a cop tries to wave you to stop you keep going...

I was stopped twice before...one for alleged weaving through traffic and another for color coding near Fort Bonafacio. Both times all they wanted was a couple hundred pesos...one time after he looked at my US drivers the first words out his mouth was "...sir it is Christmas time (code for please slip me some cash)..."..P300 later I was on my way.

Possibly on the flyovers on SLE...no one is usually on there due to the high toll.

The speedway of choice right now is the SCTEX or Subic Clark Tarlac Expresway. It's a modern proper highway that was built to Japanese standards so you can push the car in relative safety. Of course, speed limits are enforced but most exotic car owners are more than willing to pay the 10 USD fine.
AMGFan. Looks like you and I will be switching place. While you will be here for your vacation, We are going to the States for ours

My condo is in the Fort Bonafacio area overlooking Manila Golf and whenever I vacation I notice every Sunday there is a collection of exotic cars in the area (I saw a Gallardo, couple of Porsches, Ferrari 360, etc..)...there must be a cars and coffee event there.
