Aussie seeking Tuner (a few questions also)

Hi All,

I’m writing from Australia. Apologies up front for a long-winded post.

I have just ordered an MY2010 C63. Knowing from past experience with cars I will be wanting to have it tuned once run-in. I have a few questions.

Firstly, is there anyone in Australia (preferably Sydney) who tune’s C63's, and if so do the tune ECU only or TCU also ?

Secondly, Merc have already advised this will void their warrantee and is detectible with each Service. To get around this in the past I have just bought a new ECU from the manufacturer (under another name) to have tuned then swapped them in and out as desired, thus leaving the standard ECU unmodified (I did this with an Evolution IX Lancer). Has anyone done this with their C63 and if so what was the cost of a new ECU ?

Thanks in advance for reading the post.

Hi Dak

Call Sonny Marrano at Marrano's in Sydney on 0410 402 167. He has done about half a dozen C63s and works with Powerchip. Will do before and after dynos on his own mainline dyno. He is a professionall dyno tuner. Generally gets high 255 - 265kW's before and 290-95 afterwards.

Hey Ben, does this guy just tune the ECU and thats it?
He can get 30kw just from that??

sounds interesting.... lolz

But as Dylan said, that would void warrenty though if Merc detects that the ECU has been fudged with right?
