I think and want to wait till they have DI. I had a C63 from the dealership from Friday and had to return it yesterday (Saturday) and burned almost two full tanks of gas.

Hey thanks for sending so quick. According to what you sent me I guess I have to wait for the MY2011 for DI. All AMG 63 powerplants are supposedto be getting the direct injection fuel system which I want.

Good to know you are prior-mil as I am doing the same thing but in Iraq. I am ordering those options for "completeness" sake, but of course I will have to wait until all those pricing comes out for the final call.

Well I am a military contractor on the flightline (AC maintenance,fighter crew chief) and also work part time (AF civilian,DOD). If you have a mil I.D. card that shows support on it (Comissary,MWR etc) then you should be able to get a mil discount.I have friends down "range" that are civilian contractors working Transient Alert (AC servicing and maintenance) and they have these priviledges on their ID cards.

Its called Torpedo Garage and they also work together with MBUSA for the american spec Mercedes. The place is located right next to Ramstein AB. If you have any questions then contact Christiane Zeiger, she is a very friendly person or tell her David Simmons sent you her way.

I just email her with my 2010 C63 AMG configuration, and hopefully I will hear from her soon. Now I just need to get my local dealer to play ball and get me the discount from MBUSA then I will be set.

Well I wish you the best of luck, they are great prices with 10% discount across the board for 2009 and 2010 models. You would be saving 5-7 k easily.

The problem is taxes and shipping, so I will have to figure out which way to save more: local invoice price vs overseas military discount. However, we won't know until at least late June...

Thanks for the 2010 ordering guide Sheep. I see 6 options that will make me wait the few additional months for a 2010 model:
* LED tail lights
* 19" Multi-spoke wheels
* Keyless Go
* Smaller side mirrors
* TPM read-out for each wheel
* Tilt-down passenger side mirror
I discussed this with my dealer today and he has one allocation slot right now for a 2010 C63,
with a build date of late August, and delivery in mid-October.
We are checking to see if I can get this slot now.

at this point y wouldnt you wait? Only reason I didnt wait was bc i needed the car by may and Im banking on no MCT, which would be the only thing that REALLY pisses me off (plus I liked the deal I got)
Whats the story on the LED tail lights, we already got them... or are they going to change the style?
as for the reverse tilt down function of the mirror - this is something I wanted previously, but the way I sit and position the mirror, I can see curbs already for parallel parking
and I ordered aftermkt 19's so that does nothing for me
even though I wouldnt have opted for too many of the options, its still the latest, which is what I would go for if your still looking right now
