MY 2010 order guide

Sorry if this has been covered before. I went to local MB dealer today (in PA, USA) and inquired re: ordering a 2010 C63. I was given a printout of ordering reference guide with initial release date of 7/1/2009.

The guide included all C-class but hightlights for C63 are:

Standalone Options:
Keyless Go
Rearview camera AND
19 inch multispoke wheels
carbon fiber trim

Other "updates" for 2010 model includes:

New wing mirrors -- passenger side tilt-down with memory seats
and LED tail lamps (unsure whether brake lights and not the blinkers will be LED)
Tire pressure readouts

I think this pretty much covers it
Hope someone will find this info useful...

Sweet. I would've added Keyless Go, rearview camera, New wing mirrors, Tire pressure readouts.

If those are not standard options and are extra added cost, I would not get them. :o

MB pisses me off so much. Lexus offers all this amenities for absolutely no extra price, including keyless go is basically standard in almost all their vehicles if not all!

I love MB but sometimes i feel like not buying another MB again for this kinda ****...

All the prices were listed as TBD -- Pricing to be announced in early June. I suspect it will be an $500 - 1000 upgrade option. However, given the availability as an option, I would think you can purchase a set from the dealer without resorting to importation from other non-MB website or Canada.

Does the 2009 not have the passenger mirror tilt down function when in reverse? I can get a 2009 in 3 weeks or order a 2010. I can't decide.

Things that are swaying me to order a 2010:
wing mirrors, LED tails, tilt mirror, and better resale due to the 2010 designation.

Thing that are swaying me to buy a 2009:
Summer driving, possible price increase for 2010.

Benyl IMO get the 2010. A year ago I got an 08 in June 08 and a few months later everyone had 09s with LSD and other fun options the 08 didn't have. I thought I would just get what was available and do some fun summer driving but to be honest the time just flew past and before I knew it ppl where getting their 09s. Like you said, better options and better resale value on the 2010, plus 10s will have no bugs what so ever! Don't worry about the 2010 price increase, they just say that to sell off their 09s which are not moving from their show room floors.

All The Best!

I would personally wait. I am ordering a 2010 and expected date of delivery is no later than second week of August (although I am being told that third to fourth week of July is more realisitic). You would miss out on some fun in June and July but overall residual value is better despite only 6-8 week difference. In addition, if some of the options available 2010 is something that you would like, I think the decision would be fairly straight forward.

You'll be happy you waited - some of those options are essential in 2010.

19's and MCT will do for me. Any recent discussions on MCT for C63 that I may have missed?

Done. Going to order the 2010, but it looks like I am a little late to the game and it may not arrive until Sept. That is fine by me. I am hoping for DI and MCT... but I doubt it will happen.

Obsidian, regular black, or white? haha

Can you order a 2010 C63 yet?
I am waiting to order one also.
I was told by a dealer that they are not taking orders for 2010's yet.

I don't know. I think that I am being put on the wait list and then when the production slots open, they take the actual order.

You need to be in the queue NOW if you want a MY2010 C63 with a reasonable delivery date. Each dealer does it differently so ask around. One of the dealer I asked want a $2000 non-refundable deposit and will only sell it at MSRP, so I said screw them and went with another dealer, which only takes a $1000 refundable deposit for me to be in the waiting list and will sell at invoice price. They are going to order mine around Aug. because I am aiming for a Nov. deilvery date.

I would have the dealer 'secure' a car/slot for you. My dealer secured the slot the moment I asked about the car. Pricing and options can be changed down the line when the actual build order goes in -- according to my MB dealer rep.
I also got a call frome the dealer stating that factory rep for MB/AMG was at the dealer yesterday (5/21) and they did not have final pricing yet. However, the factory rep indicated that pricing would not be much different from 2009 (would take this for whatever its worth).

I agree with Dk1 and I got the same reply from my dealer about the pricing. However, I am more worry about the option code changes as there seems to be quite a bit of repackaging for the options. Just get in the queue now and you will be good.

Something interesting just happened. My MB dealer called and stated that he secured a build date of 7/10. He proceeded to tell me that he cannot add 19" wheels as an option because his computer is telling him that no change / addition is necessary and NOT unable. He consulted with his manager and MB factory rep and they believe 19" wheels may become a standard with 18 inch as an additional option item for less money. I won't know until closer to the build date but that would be neat if 19 inchers were to be standard...

It is about time. I guess MBZ has been perusing this board.

That's odd, but I hope it is true, and I guess we will have to wait and see.
