Actually Toyota, Honda (especially), and Nissan all have illustrious racing pedigree, and it's somewhat unfair to say they're not worthy of comparison to MBs and BMWs, etc. It's just that the basis of those comparisons would tend to be on a broader spectrum of factors than what most of us are here to talk about, which is performance, luxury, and prestige.

The deal is done!!! Actually I did not buy her the ISF, although I still think it is a very impressive automobile.
Here is a preview of what I did bring home.................................for her.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Congratulations! The R35's a rocket. Must say I don't see too many women driving them, so I guess you'll be driving that most of the time then. LOL

That would be the day that my wife had a faster car...lol. That's why she ended up with her new ML. I tried to convince her to get the C63 so we could have both, but that didn't fly.

You and Vic are wise men.
This thing is a hoot. I've been meaning to pm you about the details of your "custom tune". I did get a GT Challenge mid-pipe, a Cobb access-port and some very special wheels (with the help of my best friend)
. I'm still waiting to get it all put together before I post up the pictures. I could not be happier with this amazing machine.

Off topic but I assume the OP won't mind since he just picked one up: I saw you run your E55 a while back at one of those ASR days at Moroso. I just looked at your dragtimes entry for your GTR. Basically 11 flat and 125 trap not using launch control and with only a tune and a K&N? Outrageous car!!! You just floor it off the tree and that's that? The OP mentioned a custom tune. Where did you get it done if you don't mind me asking? Details please. Your E55 was fast and quick but I guess you don't miss it with Godzilla. Enjoy!

His tune is from Cobb. I think he tried 3 or 4 different ones and finally hit the nail on the head. Im sure Fikse will chime in.

I don't miss the E55, I had it 3 years and was getting a bored.... I was actually all setup for a CL65, but the deal fell through, I had no car to replace the E55 lined up so I picked up the GT-R....
I have what I would call a stage III tune, it's not the off the shelf tune that cobb sends out with it's access port, but it's not custom for my car either...
Cobb sent me this tune file, I installed, dyno'd, sent back datalogs, they said the tune was "fine".... There is some power left on the table with my tune, it all depends on how aggressive you want to be....
The bottom line is that for around $3k, these cars will run mid 10's at 132+MPH. All you need is a Custom cobb tune and a new set of actuators to allow the car to hold more boost to redline... this will produce about 550 HP to the wheels.... my car is making about 475HP to the wheels as it sits now....
I'm waiting a bit for the tuners to get more experience with the actuator installs and tuning.... I'll probably take the next step as winter approaches...
