AMG Wagons

Hello,

I am looking for my next car and really like AMG wagons, but I have some reservations and questions.

I see that there is a C63 wagon in Europe (I don't know about Canada?), and I really like the look of it. Simple and, to the untrained eye, it would be just another suburban-mobile -- but it could smoke you!
I live in New York (not Europe), so I was wondering if anybody has had ANY experience whatsoever with a. importing any car (better yet, this car) or b. the C63 wagon in general.

I read that they don't sell it in the United States because it would not sell well. But simply because it is marketed to Europe, will it be so mechanically different that it won't be registered or allowed to even enter the country via customs? Also the environmental concerns for DMV bureaucrats.

Likewise, I know there is an E63 wagon, or at least there was. I am having trouble researching this car.
What years was it built? Is it still being sold today? (it's not on the AMG website)
Was it ever marketed in the United States? I am not too fond of it, but if there was an AMG E wagon with the new 2010 face lift (which I like), I would be very interested. Does this exist?

Thank you very much,
Charlie

EDIT:
Please forgive any mistakes I have made, I am new to the MB thing (never owned one).

I have spied this
http://www.motorauthority.com/merced...-the-ring.html

but will it be sold in the US?

Yes they still sell the E63 wagons "Estate" cars, just a special order car from the dealer as they typically do not stock them on the lot.

They do sell them in the United States? Great!

How much expensive is an estate version more than a normal sedan version?

I'm also bumping. Thank you for the responses.

There are very few W211 E63 estates left in the USA. There may not be any W212 E63 estates available here at all, however. And no C63 estates, for certain.

W211 E55s were also sold. They ended up being faster than the sedan down the quarter due to a better weight bias. I would get a C63 Estate in an instant if they offered it in NA. It is too bad that American's are still so in love with SUVs.

I saw a W211 E63 on the 57 North the other day. Probably one of the BEST sleepers that money can buy.

The C63 estate won't be available in the US because they don't import the C estate. And MB won't be importing any in the near future because they want you to buy the GLK.
