Is this a normal operating oil temperature
I am talking about the meter across from the gas meter on the left gauge. I'm not sure if its the oil temp or the antifreeze temp, but the dial is 80 degrees celsius in the middle and up to 120 degrees celsius. Is it normal for this to be over the halfway point (maybe like 85-87 degrees) after the car is warmed up? My previous cars this meter was exactly in the middle but for my C63 the meter is slightly above.

down arrow , left arrow twice takes you to the digital readout. if the oil temp is flashing its not warm yet. 217-224F is what mine usually runs and thats with a 100F ambient air temp.

When driving the car hard the coolant system will increase to 100C, on purpose. The hotter the radiator the easier it is to get rid of the heat. This is true of all 63 engines.

hows that exactly?
Are you implying that the temperature differential is greater? If so, then it makes no sense to do so because kicking on the fans earlier is all thats really required to keep the car with the 82-95c temp range. Unless you are really beating on it or sitting in heavy traffic with the a/c blasting, the temp should not touch 100c for any length of time.
