i have a 2008 bmw 328xi with sound package , sport package premimum package, 21000km, i went to mercedes-benz to ask how much i have to add to trade in for a c63, it turns out that my 328xi worth $38000 and i have to add canadian $38000 which is about $44000 (tax included),the prices of the benz is 76000$ with amg performance package and premium package, is it a fair price to trade in a c63 for 38000$with tax? and is it fair that 76000$ for c63? please help me out....Thanks

Normally, I'd suggest selling your existing car privately in order to maximize the resale value, but C$38,000 for a 328xi with 21,000 km on the clock sounds fairly reasonable. Mind you, they're still going to turn around and try to sell it for C$44,000 once you hand it over to them. I always feel it's hard to negotiate price when they know you want a certain car. Unless you're truly prepared to walk in the event they don't give you the numbers you want, you're always going to be at a disadvantage at the bargaining table.

Anyway, if you want a good deal on a C63, talk to Sam. His user name on the boards is 451/443=EW.

dang, i was offered low 20's for my C55. allbeit an 05 with twice the km.
i was offered mid 30's if i took the current E63.

That is a smoking deal on your 328XI. I traded a 335i Coupe with sport package,leather and stepronic(car cost $45000) and my traded was $35000, also my car only had 7700 miles at the time and was 9 months old(purchased in May 07 and traded in March 08).

Grab that offer and run, they are paying you too much for your trade.
