Oh I forgot that every SRT8 Jeep owner posts their times on that site of course that is a master list of EVERY SRT8 Jeep track time all over the world. Now wonder your getting all bent out of shape I would too if this happened to me and the 63 even got the jump

Been there, done that (in my PROcede v3 BMW 335i). I ran 12.8 sec @ 111mph and he ran 12.7 sec. @ 104mph...he cut a sweet 1.72 sec. 60ft. (AWD is great, huh?) to my 1.96 sec. 60ft. but I was chasing him down very quickly.

I believe the calculation is something like this...for every 0.1 sec better in your 60ft., expect 0.2 sec. better ET at the end of the 1/4 mi. So, a quicker launch makes for a quicker 1/4 mi. ET. However, your Trap Speed at the end of the 1/4 mi. indicates how much power your car really has; 111mph trap speed vs. 104mph indicates the car which trapped at 111mph has much more power than the one which trapped at 104mph, regardless of who had the quicker ET. Like we said before, ET is one thing, but Trap Speed is another, son.

Then, I ran with another Jeep GC SRT-8 on the FL Turnpike one day...from 60mph - ~ 120mph+...it wasn't pretty for the POS truck...had like 4+ CL's on him by 100mph and kept pulling. So, anyhow, no thanks, I'll have some fun in my MB C63 AMG with some more challenging cars than a Jeep GC SRT-8...racing from 0-60mph is short and boring (although as I understand it, a C63 AMG runs ~4.3 sec 0-60mph which is fairly decent, imho).

If it makes you feel any better, keep telling youself that your truck is awesome though.

You act like most BMW 335 owners are you sure your not one of them. All you have are claims no proof, BTW I feel just fine. So if you want to do the ricer roll thats fine again I will find you a jeep.

What do "BMW 335i owners" act like...faster than you? Don't be such a tool and Troll!

Here is my timeslip (had PROcede v2 then and my fastest trap speed was 111.22mph that night)...

Can you please go back to your Jeep Forum now?

I haven't run my '09 C63 AMG yet, as I only have 925mi. on it so far (just bought it a week ago ). But, here's an example of a what a completely stock C63 AMG runs in the 1/4 mi...

http://www.dragtimes.com/Mercedes-Be...lip-17271.html (12.38 sec @ 115.8mph with a 2.0 sec 60ft. ). It's interesting that a completely stock C63 AMG traps the same as your HIGHLY modded (now that you've come clean and all your extensive mods are listed in your sig ) 512AWHP Jeep GC SRT-8.

btw -- my PROcede tuned BMW 335i (replaced by the '09 C63 AMG) timeslip posted above ^^^^.

In this vid jeep ran 12.86 to the SL 12.68 I consider it a good race dont you guys. Now understand I'm not on here to start trouble I just didn't like the way the OP came off saying the Jeep was a waste of his time, now unless his MB runs sub 4 second 0-60 and launches well I simply dont understand why he would dismiss them as a wast of time.
Sorry if I struck a nerve but my comments were based on my experience after racing two Jeep SRT-8's ---- one from a stop light and the other one on the freeway. It was what it was; it is what it is; and it's gonna do what it's gonna do!

Keep in mind my OP sought input based on stock vs. stock comparisons and some folks rightfully replied saying, "beware the modded version". Point taken although I still find it difficult to find a trap of 105 threatening. Yes, the 1/4 mile ET may be in the same range but after that???? Ah well, I guess it depends on the game and what one considers to be a win? I personally would not find it much fun to get to 100MPH really fast and then increasing in .1 MPH increments from there

Perhaps one day I will run into a modded Jeep SRT-8, or anything else for that matter. And maybe one day I will have to eat eat my words... it could happen.

I too will soon be modded. So in the end, I guess we are back to my OP.

What are you 16yrs old ? I came from 2x jeep srt8's and although they do not rule they highways you have to give credit for a 4xxxlb flying brick. Oh and up to 60 there is was no way in hell you'll touch one unless you're on dr's, can properly drive, and have perfect weather conditions. Name me another huge awd suv that can pull that off AND have enough cargo space to fit 5 and a full load of snowboard gear ?

Maybe you should cut the STR8 Jeep in half, work it so it has 900HP then come here again and tell us how the SRT8 is faster.

So it takes 4.3 seconds to beat a stock SRT8. Check!

Funny you find the fastest time in good DA for a supposedly stock C63 (no timeslip proof or any way to verify if he is stock) however I was able to find a MUCH slower STOCK C63 1/4 time that is verifiable

12.89 @111mph STOCK C63 AMG

Hey man just stop all the name calling they run this you run that stuff put your car on the road/track against an SRT8 Jeep and lets see how it plays out, not once have I called your C63 an ugly POS or said anything negative about you but you apparently are getting all butt hurt over the SRT8 Jeep like your scared of it or simply dont want to admit you know nothing about it or your new C63 you are a perfect example of a magazine/internet racer and I find it hilarious that you can talk all this trash when you haven't even ran yours. So lets put this to an end YOU READY?

It makes plenty sense. You are comparing worked and completely worked SRT8's to stock C63's and showing off your epeen as if you have the faster vehicle.

The point being made is you have to mod the crap out of the SRT8 to beat a stock C63 and you think its still a win. Why dont you compare mod to mod and see who wins.

This thread completely delivers BTW. Funny how the SRT8 thinks it’s the C63's equal. I thought I would be doing this with the M3 guys not JEEP!

The fact that you C63 (et al) owners get your feathers ruffled over a JEEP is proof enough of its impressive qualities. -Not saying its "superior" to a C63 AMG, but FWIW the Jeep has ruled this thread for six pages on my screen.

Stock for stock C63 wins, but to be truly fair compare the loud-mouth to a proper competitor; E92 M3, etc.

Feathers not ruffled at all. The guy is here to be a troll. He drives an SRT8 and he is the one coming to trying to stir up crap. Im sure all the C63 owners in this thread and on this forum aren’t intimidated in the slightest bit by the SRT8.

That said, the SRT8 does good stuff from a dig and gets a lot of bang for the buck. At the same time 40K isnt cheap and id rather save my pennies and get the C63 later than a STR8 today.

The C63 beats the M3. On the track it doesnt, but in performance it does.
