New C63 Owner! Thanks to Mercedes of White Plains NY...
Greeting all,
I'm new to your MB forum and first want to say how pleased I am to the folks who alerted us to the great deals that are going on now.
I currently own a 2005 Lotus Elise and it was becoming to hard to justify when having a 3 year old and a 11 month old. I also lease a Mini Cooper S as a daily car.
After reading about the tremendous deals I decided to make some calls. I test drove the Cadillac CTS-V and was quite impressed. Then drove the C63 and that was that! Also how could one pass on the deals...
Local (live in CT) dealers where out of stock and found one in White Plains. I arrived and in the showroom was my car.
Black on Black
AMG Leather Package
Multi Media Package
P2 Premium 2
I-POD kit
Black Maple Wood Trim
And to my SURPRISE!!!
Delimination top speed 174 mph
Limited Slip Differential
Full Tinted Windows
It had a sign with a big discount. Similar to those who have posted in previous threads. I don’t want to mention numbers but it was big! We negotiated on a trade for the Lotus and received a fair price. I pushed them lower on the C63 (again thanks to all of the insights) and reached an agreement.
But wait! I still lease on a Mini with 2 years left. The salesman comes back with the buyout info and tells me that I only need a few G’s to make it happen. DONE DEAL!!!! The other good news is that the money I needed for the Mini payout will pay itself with my insurance savings in a couple of years.
Picking her up this Saturday with my wife and two kids and baby seats of course and Sunday we install the Venture Seal. I know a local installer and had it on my Lotus.
So to those who are considering...STOP and pull the trigger because the ‘09 inventory has to go.
From auto enthusiast to auto enthusiast I look forward to some good years in the forum.
Jaime
