Has anyone installed the KUDA cellphone holder?

I just purchased and received the KUDA cellphone holder from KUDA USA. I've purchased and installed their products before in previous cars (Porsche 911 and Cayenne S) and have been very happy with the products overall. Just received the package today and, in looking over the installation instructions, I see that I must remove various pieces of interior molding i.e. the ventilation controller. Before I start pulling stuff apart I wanted to get pointers anyone might have in order to avoid damage. It looks pretty easy but wanted to consult for advise before I start. Anyone install this?? Any advise??

Thanks.

What does this holder do besides holding the phone?

That's all it does! In my experience, KUDA makes the nicest, most aesthetic cell phone holders out there. I have an iPhone 3G and are often placing and receiving calls via the voice control features on the C63- its handy to see the iPhone screen without using the cupholder in the car. In addition I often use the iPhone to display traffic conditions here in San Diego- the holder is essential to safety with this!

Thanks.
Kuda makes excellent products, and they make a point of not having to modify your car to make the mounts fit. Pro-Fit has a nice looking trim removal tool just for this purpose. There is a set of similar tools in the latest Griot catalog.

Finally got the guts to install the holder and it went perfectly! The holder installs perfectly even without the screws as called for in the instructions. The pressure fit from reinstalling the ventilation controls and cover hold the holder without the screws thereby not having to add screw holes. Looks great and is very solidly mounted. Good product- recommended.

Which holder do you use for your iPhone 3G? Kuda just have a new pass through cradle out for the iPhone that uses the interface cable. So do you think the C63's iPhone cable from the glove box will reach?

It arrived this week. Build quality looks excellent, and I plan to install it this weekend. Photos will follow.
