callmiro -- also, so you're saying that you've already run with and beat an M3, M5, E55, E63, C6 Corvette, RS4, and IS-F...really????

Nice car, albeit I'm a bit jealous of your 2 extra options that didn't come with the '08/'09 U.S. versions of the C63 AMG, but enjoy!!!!

So, your 2009 (not 2010) C63 AMG has the Keyless-Go and Parktronic options?
What is it with German car mfgr's...why do they offer ALL the "good stuff" to everyone except the U.S. customers??????

Some of these cars are usually faster than a 12.5sec. C63 AMG. Do you have an ECU flash or are you saying you're car is completely stock? ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)

Love the "keyless go".
None of those cars are faster than 12.5's, especially on the street....(maybe 12.6 - 12.7's at best) and that assumes you are running a guy that can make it happen
In the Motortrend article "THERE WILL BE BLOOD", they got a stock C63 with a performance package to run 0-60 in 4.1 seconds, (out of the bucket, none of those cars can beat that)
"Hurtling the C63 down the quarter mile is like firing a Government Model Colt 45. The result is rewarding in an explosive sense. Mercedes-Benz quotes 0-to-60 in 4.3, but just the right launch technique yielded a best time of 4.1 seconds. That's on par with 8.0-liter Dodge Vipers of just a decade ago. Set in Sport mode, the transmission shifts quickly, right at redline, with no slop between gears. The four oval exhaust outlets bellow like a polished Pro Stocker. There's torque all over the C63's tach, and although there are seven ideally spaced ratios from which to choose, the AMG V-8 could get by with two.

Regarding your kills, you must be on heck of a driver then to get "just the right launch technique"...any tips?

Yeah, we have the MB Keyless Go system on my wife's '08 GL450...we love it too; it works much better than my previous BMW 335i's "Comfort Access" (which only worked right maybe 50% of the time as far as unlocking the car when touching the door handle
).

Granted most of us (including myself) don't have the PP LSD, but I've heard that's really a significant benefit mainly for a twisty track and not necessarily for a straight line street start (although I would think being peg-legged is worse than having equal power to both wheels
).

LSD helps with hard launches as well...we've all seen the 1-wheel peels
Technique is everything.....i always leave the car in sport mode...with ESP-OFF.....load it up at the lights with one foot on the brake and throttling it as high as it will hold without spinning and as the light goes green.....let go of the brake and give it progressive hard throttle without stomping it...and hello 4.1 0-60......and as soon as you get to the top of first.....keep the throttle pinned and rock the gears
its hard to compare street races to quarter mile times but when it comes down to it.....if you follow....you swallow

They don't sell it as a part.....The sales manager got them shipped from the AMG plant and then they put them on the cars when they arrive at the dealership

The Alcantera steering wheel is just sick.....i think that's what really sets off the interior
You really only see the use of Alcantera in higher end exotics (like Lambo's, Aston Martins / and even Benz's with Designo)....
But people just freak out when they sit in the car and grab the wheel and its suede
