Thumbs up Fuel consumption

Well, I am very surprised. I drove my C63 today back from the cottage today, and I drove it like a sane person I just ignored the fact that I have 500 horses under the hood and remembered that I have my precious daughter sleeping at the back seat. So, speed limit, no unnecessary acceleration from 0 to whatever And this is the result:

Very impressed.

haha I'm too lazy to do the l/km conversion.. My record is 21.0 mpg. Held it for like a second, then got 20.9 on the remaining couple miles home. Maybe could've gotten a little better if I was driving in C mode.

wowo....that fule consumption is like driving a 1.5L honda jazz.

but mean time, inroder to achieve that result, you have to drive over 50 kms...

mine is still running in period, and some times my 9 month old bb is sitting at the back, so mine is normally around 14.5L/100ks...which is really not bad...

but the problem is...as c63 owner, the tank capacity is way to low, that means we need to fill the tank up more often....i rather pay a bit more but go less frequent to petrol station.

I posted it elsewhere, but tis is pretty average for my car. I've seen as much as 21.4, but you need to be on the hwy for awhile and it seems to creep up slowly.

something tells me when we get out of "run in" we can paddle our way to 7th and that will make a big diff.... but really who cars? after tons of sporty cars (mustangs, grand nationals, Irocs, Vetts) this has to be the most fun i have ever had with a car. it loves to rev and loves to run fast. its simply addicting.

Is that all highway downhill? lol

The only way I can get that much is after at least like 200 miles in C the whole way and not having any fun.. How are you doing that in 20 miles? lol

Just to make the maths easier for everyone, as we have people from all over the world on here:

9 litres/100km is approx equal to 26.13mpg (US) or 31.38 mpg (UK).

Can anyone top this?

My Record 23.2 MPG!!! This was after a long road trip also!

I drove my car from Miami to NewYork... I reset the computer at the begining of the trip and did not put the car into manual once nor did I use the paddles to downshift once... I just left it in either sport or comfort mode and I ended up AVG 23.2 MPG!!!! I was absolutely shocked, but this car really isnt bad at all on the highway if you drive like a normal person...

(BTW my aunt was in the car with me the whole ride which is why I had to drive that way )

From Washington DC to New York City I average 19 to 20. Sport Mode
Around town and weekend driving I average about 12 to 15.
I've average 7.9 in top and go traffic here in DC.
I sure didn't buy this car for the MPG efficiency!

Too funny Yeah, just steady 78 mph with the windows up and A/C on. For some reason the car likes 78 mph. If I slow down to 65-70, it doesnt seem as efficient. I am pleasnatly surprised with the 20+ mpg on the hwy. I dont really care about gas mileage in general, but with the economy it doesnt hurt.
