One thing I notice already is the shifting. Unless you come out of the hole hard the tranny shifts into second was to fast.

6 month and 10 days since I bought my C63 and just reached 17,000 miles.
I got the best MPG yesterday. 21MPG average speed 70MPH. two hour trip back to DC from the VA mountains.

Yep, the "adaptive" feature of the transmission sucks if you drive in traffic. It will start shifting early then when you need POWAH it gets confused and may even upshift when you want a downshift. It helps to do the tranny reset as described in other threads.

Big time suck. There has to be a way to tell the computer to stop adapting and just stay at the stock TCU settings.

Yep this is the ONE thing I do not like about the C63. I don't need the transmission to try to figure out what it needs to do and adjust to conditions as it perceives them. The transmission needs to function CONSISTENTLY so *I* know what to expect, how far to drop the hammer, and what gear I want to be in. If the tranny was consistent, then it would react the same way every time. And the driver would have much more control over the powerband, even in the automatic modes. It's hard coming from only manuals and having a transmission that thinks it's smarter than you are
