I clay bar twice a year - It is not to difficult and I think you will be surprised at the debris the clay picks up. You will have to polish afterwards if you have any scratches or imperfections followed by a wax or sealant. I like to wash the car again after claying and before polishing.

Clay bar is an amazing product. Will give your car a glass smooth finish. I went from Meguiar's to Zaino and finally to Clay Magic. Generally twice a year is good enough, but there are occasions where my car will get peppered with melted tire rubber from drift events or other road debris. Give it a good clay and it's good as new. It is a long process, but if you love your car, you'll take care of it properly.

I clay ar as well a few times a year, on my 08 C63 and 09 ML350 which are both irridium silver, you wont see a whole lot, but you remove all the imperfections and road grime/debris which is worth it. Reggie, I have the solution or I simply do what norb does while I wash it every so ofter, the soapy water solotion is good, it gives it the slippery surface you require to do a proper clay bar job. On my white dodge ram truck, it has the tiny rusty speckles which are from the brake dust and the clay bar removes them, it truly is amazing on a white vehicle, I used it a few time on my wifes BMW 5 series and that turned out amazing, that is what I disliked about white vehicles, those darn little rust speckles, the car looked like it was disease ridden.

I'm going to clay my car once a year. I wash it once a week and wax it once a month so the car is smooth all the time. It's just those pesky little dirt specks that won't come off. Clay should take care of that.

You'll still want to clay your car even with a clear bra. The clear bra will still acquire surface contaminants and is still susceptible to scratches and swirls. Clay barring will keep the surface smooth and safely remove the contaminants without leaving marks behind on the bra.

I just used the clay bar on my car for the 1st time a few weeks ago and man the debris I picked up was ridiculous. It did take about 2-3 hours but the results for me were definetly rewarding. My car felt so smooth after the process. You should definetly do it !

twice a month seems excessive. i dont see that hurting your paint but why would you need to do it that often? i wash my car after everytime i drive it. clayed it when it was new and it picked up minimal dirt. im thinking i will only need to clay mine once a year. its in a garage and waxed about every 5 weeks.

It doesn't you're supposed to remove the wax with a pre-wash of Dawn or similar dish washing detergent. Once the wax is gone, the clay can do its magic. My finish is so smooth a rag can't stay on the hood without siding off.

That's just if you're putting the first coat of Zaino, no need to do that after you've already waxed your car, in fact, claying on a waxed car is probably better for it since the clay will slide even smother over the surface.

Clay bar really good for .....
removing tree sap specks which you can't see but can feel. I would think that two clay bar usages per year would be sufficient. Waxing/polishing afterwards finishes things up nicely. I don't re-wash as long as I have time to wax/polish before care is driven.
