I assume that the dealerships have different ECU flashes for each MB model that uses the 6.2 liter V8. What would be the difference between the dealership flashing your C63 ECU with a program for the 500+ hp versions of this engine that are present in the other models (not that they would, just theoretically), and what you get from K1 or some of the other aftermarket flash vendors?

Is there really more to it?

I asked that question before but didn't get an answer. Well, I actually inquired about a spare ECU and have a flash from a higher HP 63.
