Odd tranny feeling
So I was driving the car tonight and felt like pushing it a little. So accelerated from 60-100mph at a fairly good pace, the RPMs were not climbing really fast. I probably had the gas pushed down halfway, so this is what I experienced.
The car was moving pretty well but I could feel the car acting a little jerky. It felt like the car would pull and then the car would feel as if it was slowing down like the tranny was slipping. Immediately after this feeling, the car would pull again and basically it would keep doing this. It felt as though the pulling would last for 1 second and then slipping for a 1 second. I didn't push the gas more and i didn't release the gas so the car was basically accelerating at a good constant rate but i definitely could have pushed it more.
any ideas from people. hopefully i've explained it well. Lastly, I was in S mode and the ESP was in sport.

so resetting the ecu just involves disconnecting the + on the battery in the trunk correct and letting the car discharge for 1 minute? after that plug the + back on the battery.

1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
The ECU reset procedure only erases the ADAPTIVE settings. It does not erase any of the fuel/timing or other programming. it works great, but, as soon as you get back into a pattern of slow, constant speed driving, it will go back and you'll have to do this again.

When you refer to the key "on" position but not "start" , what does this translate to for those of us with keyless go? is it 1 button press or 2 button presses?
Thanks!
I have experienced this jerkyness as well, I just thought my tires were slipping.

Is easy just pull out the start/stop button and insert the key.

Is this the same way the dealers reset or reflash the ecu? I am experiencing the same jerkiness since I drove slowly most of the time during break-in. I was planning to go to the dealer to reset the ecu while changing oil.

I have VRP airfilters without the charcoal filters.
The gas in the tank is about 3-4 weeks old so it might be bad.
???? does stepping on the gas to the floor with the car in the on position, flood the motor with gas????

I had this "stuttering" feeling on a road trip the first weekend I had the BMC filters in the car with the charcoals removed, I experienced this in fifth gear with about half throttle, the car sort of stuttered or jerked, I for sure gave the blame to the new filters as this never happened before, I dont know if the increased air flow was confusing the mass airflow sensor?? Maybe the computer had to re adapt, but I have never experienced it again.

Yes, I only had the gas about half way to the floor...
