Stupid Mustang GT driver wanted to race me last night
Almost forgot about this little episode last night. I was on my way home from the gym and I see this brand new Mustang GT as I pull up to a red light. Now, I'm calling this guy stupid because he was trying to race me on a local road (with many traffic lights and 35 mph speed limit) and the fact that his car was brand new (no plates and shiny as hell), it almost looked like he just picked it up from the dealership that day. This guy starts revving and does the little passing stopping passing stopping. Now I don't mind racing a Mustang GT and having a nice little kill on my belt, but I wasn't about to race some douchebag on a 35 mph speed limit zone with traffic lights every 1/8th of a mile. So I don't oblige and go on the highway and realize that the Mustang GT is also getting on. There wasn't much traffic so I though perfect I get to race and I punched it but I think the Mustang driver realized he was out of his league and didn't even try to race me at all. Now if it was a Saleen or GT 500 it would have been a different story and I would have tried to race him no matter what, but it was only a regular GT so I just went home.

My brother used to shock the he77 out of SVTs in this APR Stage III GTI he used to have. They could never keep up. The GTI didn't look as imposing as a C63, so he got tested all the time.

Oliverk has a Mustang so he might be a little sensitive when you talk about POS fords

Well if you read my post you would know that my problem is not with Fords, but with the douchebag who happened to be driving a Ford. A douchebag who wanted to race me in a local road with his brand new unbroken-in car.

I saw the youtube video, APR Stage 3 for the 2.0T DSG surely moves, shifts so quick it look like the car is accelerating between shifts.

As for the OP, you made than just a sensible decision, lights every 1/8 mile plus 35mph limit and traffic are all the makings of something very bad to happen.

don't want to start a fight but several members including myself think break in periods are a crock, plus you don't have any idea how many miles the mustang had on the clock

Mustanks do turn heads because of their "hey I'm coming but am still a mile away" (aftermarket)exhaust systems..................but they're SLOOOOWWW cars that everybody(that ownes one) seems to think is the baddest/fastest thing on 4 wheels. Now modded 03-04 Cobras and new King Snakes are a totally different; and MUCH faster, story.

One thing I do agree wih are Cobra's and GT500's. FYI they are called Super Snakes a limited edition aftermarket GT500 upgrade by Shelby American. So get it right, king snakes, funny.
