Dry CF Interior Wrap

Remember I mentioned that how I did not like the wood trim for my C63, well, over the weekend I had my interior dry cf wrapped. I think it's a much cheaper alternative to replace the OEM trims and it actually came out pretty good...
https://mbworld.org/forums/members/m...ior-trims.html

The guys wrapped my entire interior and the outside window trim for a very reasonable price (just say 1 tenth of what you would pay to replace your OEM trim), I can give you guys his info... and he said if you can get more than 10 people, he would offer a group rate. He is located in NJ.

Wait, that's true dry CF? Pre-preg, high heat, vacuum, the works? Or did he just use CF fabric and wrap it.

oh ok. yeah, you should only be paying around $300-350 for a full wrap. I'm loving mine. If you're comfortable removing the trim pieces yourself, it's a very easy DIY. I wouldn't put it outside though as it'll fade over time being exposed to the sun and elements.

How much for the inside? I´m thinking of getting that done but not sure I have the time to come over to NJ... Let me know the price and I might be in

I don't like how it looks outside but inside it looks great!!! Is the wrap possible to remove later and go back to the wood trim? Im worried that it might fade or just not be as durable..?

For those who are interested... I paid $300 for all wrapping both the inside trims and the outside window (about 3.5 hours and no need to take off any trims)... probably minus $50-$75 w/o the outside. He is located in Freehold, NJ. Note that, he does have different fabric, silver, white and grey CF, and other matte colors.
Here's his email... please make sure to mention Mike with the black C63 sent you... he did say he would give a good price if multiple people are interested.
sales@drycarbonwrap.com

The fabric is pretty well made 100% 3M material from Japan supposedly same one that they use to wrap the buildings (and supposedly pretty common in Japan??), and he did say it would last 5 years and all weather-proof. Most of his customers, had their roof, hood and trunk wrapped, so I guess it would last awhile. If I have a white C63, I may consider wrapping the roof. Moreover, they said they can wrap the diffusor and the spoiler for a good price too, I guess another cheap alternative to have the dry CF look instead going to the ebay route if one don't want to pay the Revo or Euroteck $$.

I may go back to wrap my front seat-backs, how hard is it to take them off?

AZN 300. no offense meant, and your car is a beauty, and your input is both lucid and insightful, but why do you hang here and not on a c300 site. i do appreciate you are on the c63 site though.

It is pretty durable, I felt and played with the actual material. They said it would not fade for about 5 years at least for the outside (inside should last longer??)... but for < than $300, I can always have them replaced or go back to wood for $0.
And yes, you can just simply go back to the wood in the future easily (they are just 3M glued). As for the outside, yeah, I'm not 100% myself either... but the beauty is I can always go back and change it to matte black easily. I figure it would match my CF front spoiler and diffusor a bit from Euroteck.

Upd: Oh, and the guy is pretty flexible, you can schedule weekend appointments...

Because there are things to be gained from both AMG and non-AMG 204 sides from cross information sharing. Especially since several parts are the same and interchangeable. Just like there's still things to be learned from 203 to 204 sides. Don't be a AMG snob. There are C63 owners to frequent the non-amg 204 side as well. This is an open forum where people gather to share and learn information and to cut out or restrict the flow of info is just retarded and self damaging. I understand you're a new member and all, but you'll see there are lots of people who cross subforums to share and learn info. We're all MB enthusiasts, not just C63, E55, CL500, etc enthusiasts.

Looks Very Nice!

Is the interior wrap hard to take off if you get tired of it and want to change it later on?

It looks fairly easy... just rip it off like tapes. You may need some alcohol or GlueGone to clean up the residue, otherwise, it should take just minutes.

Well put!
I hang out with DADSC63 and HHUGHES (2 of the biggest C63 Freaks) often and we always have plenty to share.

You can order the fabric from EuroDyne. You can probably talk some service tech to remove the trim pieces for you and you can wrap your own parts, and have them reinstall.

Here are some pics from my job to give you more reference ideas.

just wanted to pop in and say-
this is the same stuff as eurodyne sells, just 1/3 the price of them.

this is NOT the fabric. it is vinyl. read our faq to understand the difference.

I usually get 5 or 6 sample requests together before i send them out. (i'm a bit lazy like that) I have 5 right now, and was planning to ship out tomorrow.
