At $78k, I say the R8 even though it's definitely slower in a straight line... You said the R8 is coming from the US.. That price sounds exceptional even w/o considering that I assume the seller will have to pick up shipping costs as well... Definitely check out the car thoroughly but if it passes, ****** it up...

Hi all, ya i agree the price is good on the r8 if clean. The car is currently in dubai in a dealership for sale but imported from the usa. Its 2008 but sadly automatic ( i read that the auto gearbox isn't the best).
Thanks for the r8 forum links, i need to check what is bad about the auto as i need it as a daily car ( sites say get a manual if its a daily car but i dont know if they mean the auto is bad if used in manual mode or its bad also in auto mode and burns the clutch faster thank the manual version.

Also All the R8s here are in the 78k- 88 price range secound hand. So they depretiate badly here, hence i need to buy this only if it will last a long time as i clock 25000 kms in a year of work.

.
As I know, many people in the states 'hate' the tronic tranny on the Audi, so right now Audi actually puts 6 speed tranny instead. The 6 speed is good, also, the tronic is not that perfect, it has some serious delay in downshifting or upshifting, which means the tronic tanny does not respond well..

So, if this R8 comes from the US. it should has the 6 speed..

I would buy the R8 hands down over the C63. Sports car vs sports sedan.

However, I'd buy a used 997 turbo over both. Say one go on their respective forum for 77k. 07 with 16k miles.

No problem...that answers my questions on why it was only 78K...most of the ones I looked at on the web were still over 100K for a 2008...G/L on the C63...great car and the extra kit you mentioned will make it look sweet.

Congrats, if everything does go through and you get the C63, please post your impressions on the car. A Carfax as AMGFan stated is a big key to purchasing power and making sure what you're purchasing isn't what it seems. Glad you caught it and look forward to hear whats in store.
