Rear end covered with black dust from tailpipes?
So I just washed my car yesterday as I had noticed an enormous amount of black soot on the back end of my C63. It was...well, really bad. So I gave the beast a nice, long wash and even cleaned out the tailpipes as best I could (though I still couldn't get all the carbon buildup off from the edges of the tailpipes). So I drove about fifteen miles this morning, and when I get out of my car, there is already a little bit of the black dust building up again! I'm not sure if this is a common issue or not, but I was just wondering if there is any way of cleaning the tailpipes to keep this from happening. Any advice would be great. I have a little over 1K miles on the beast, just for some additional info. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

The C63 gets the dirtiest tail end of any car I have ever owned. It's odd, the two side of the car will be relatively clean yet the back end is covered in dirt. Hahha

You can try this one... It's very easy to clean the tailpipes
After you use it, you can clean the pipes with cloth or tissue easily

Buy s Claifornia duster, best investment ever, just a quick wipe after driving and you save lots of time not washing the car.

It's like this with a lot of cars. All the dirt, the soot from the street, air pollution, front brake dust, etc., sweeps down from the car's shape and collects on the rear (note a lot of it on the rear trunk lid area.) My Porsche gets filthy in the rear, too.
Aerodynamics swirl the crap behind the car; the same design that keeps the rear down.
Do a search on most car forums and you see the same 'complaint' everywhere.
Your tailpipes are NOT the culprit.

The car's not spitting out visible carbon particulates like that; that's the job for diesels. (carbon mixed with heavy metals and other organic chemicals which is bad for health.)
The carbon dioxide from your engine from burning hydrocarbons and with superheated water and super hot tail pipes (sometimes you also see the water dripping out) and you get a hard carbon buildup.
btw, the best stuff for keeping the pipes clean, imho, is Menzerna metal polish. Works well. http://www.autogeek.net/menzerna-polishing-cream.html

As you can see all have high output engienes in their class. IMO it has to do with how aggressively the engiene is tuned.

Use a chrome cleaner polish for the tailpipes! I use it almost every time I wash the car just to keep the chrome tailpipes shiny! It works well for me and needs less than a minute to do just the edges if you do it regularly.
As for any other stuff stuck on the paintwork, I use California Mother's Gold clay-bar and it leaves a mirror finish. However this is probably only recomended once a year as it is labor intensive and requires a full polish afterwards. Though the paint and color look excellent afterward!
