LET Tune?

C63 tune
Hi,
I have done one of the C63's with a file from Jerry(let).
The car made on my Hyperpower dyno.
305kw and 537nm when it was stock.
We logged/tuned the car a few time and got 337kw and 594nm before the owner had to leave.
The owner then removed the secondary cats and we got 345kw.
I have the graph in the shop and will post them Monday..
All I can say is the difference is NIGHT and DAY .. I kid u not .. The car becomes a beast in the mid to high range and you will battle to power the car off the line because it battles for traction on street tyres.

32 kilowatt = 43hp (to the wheels)
57NM = 42 Ft Lbs (to the wheels)
This C63 was done in South Africa and I was asked not to post the graph. I'm glad Devan is going to do that.

RWHP/TQ to Crank Comparison for those who want converted figures : (18% drivetrain loss being used)
Stock: 409rwhp 396rwtq = 498hp and 483ft-lbs should call it the Freak63 not C63; maybe it's a higher reading dyno then what we have. Please chime in
LET Tune: 452rwhp 438rwtq = 551hp 534ft-lbs (K2 like crank figures)
Cat Delete: 462.65rwhp = 564hp
Cliffs on the numbers generated and post: WOW!

Although the RWHP increase in in line with the other ecu flashes, I'm not sure how they managed to increase RWTQ by so much when all the other ecu flashes typically increase RWTQ by ~ 15-20 lb-ft.

Any other local dynos?
Perhaps Hans for Franz forgot to load the C63 file and left the E63 in the ECU?

Im thinking so, but like Soldier stated, the rwtq pickup was even more impressive. This car with the tune and cat delete made rwhp comparable to K2 cars w/ tune and headers. The torque is very high before the cats and it will be a bit more higher as there was no torque reading for the cat delete dyno. What if this car got some long tubes or just some shorties to begin with, it will be nuts.

My little C32 was able to hit torque limiting on the car which was pretty funny

Well, if true, then that certainly goes well beyond that of the other 6.2L (63 AMG) engine specs. I believe the others have slightly less than 500 lb-ft TQ, correct and this LET ecu flash would put the TQ well above 500 lb-ft TQ? My RENNtech ecu2 flash dyno'd (post-ecu flash) at 411.82 WHP / 368.29 lb-ft RWTQ...an increase of +45WHP / +14.46 lb-ft RWTQ which is fairly consistent with other RENNtech dynos, the Kleemann K1 and other ecu flashes out there.

Jerry, Wayne and Jake really do a good job and DO really care about their clients.

'10 E63 has both the MCT and DI, correct? Would its tuning parameters even be applicable to a C63, without either? Maybe MCT wouldn't matter... but I'd think DI would.

I think LET is the most stand up companies I have seen in the MB community I am in no way affiliated with them or use their products. I have never seen an unhappy customer and they charge anywhere from 50-150% less than other companies. I am surprised you C63 fellows haven't ventured out of this forum search look all around the board for the great testimonials. I think it's robbery what some of these other companies charge for a file upload especially to the C63 customers IIRC other companies are charging around 3k for a w204 63 tune. Now they are offering a free tune to locals! Good job as usual LET keep up the good work in the community.

i would love to seee that exact car on a dyno dynamic or dynojet

We've compared LET tunes to customer's already tuned cars and every single time the difference in TQ is substantial. I remember on one C320 we had it picked up over 18 RWTQ from changing to a LET tune from another company's. The gain was over a 3K increment as well.
A large power band and more TQ is what wins races, bigger peak numbers is what wins arguments.

This is new to me and us here at the c63 section and I think everyone would like to know more about it. I'm just suprised that no one from LET said anyhing about this before this thread
