Ipod AND Aux Input
Not sure if its old news for any of you, but it looks like you can have both Ipod and Aux Input. At least on my car, with the iPod option, the glove box included only the iPod connector wire. No Aux input as shown on P. 148 of the COMAND manual. Aux input can be nice to use for other music devices or just to avoid having to use the clunky steering wheel iPod controls.
It turns out if you open the passenger door, open the glove compartment, and yank out the triangular-ish exposed plastic panel on the right of the glove compartment, there is a short wire with an Aux Input. Using a standard male-to-male 1/8" headphone plug, I routed the aux wire down the door trim, towards the back, and under the passenger seat so the other end comes up where the cup holders are.
Hope that helps somebody. If you need pictures, let me know.

Interesting, my glove compartment does not have a slot for the AUX jack so the jack is hidden behind the glove compartment wall completely not visible from within the glove compartment.

OK, help me understand...
I did not get the iPod option on my car. Are you saying that I can go behind my glovebox and find an AUX input and now make my iPod work?
Sorry if I butchered the interpretation of this thread.

I didn't check it yet, but let's suppose I have that jack. I could simply connect the music device with a male-male cable and it will work fine? Or I'll have to "activate" the AUX?

OK, let me ask again, same question as mzporto. If you have the jack, can you just connect a male to male cable to the jack and an iPod will work?
I'm asking without checking, because my car is in route between Oregon and Arizona currently...

yes, mine has it too. I have the ipod adapter, but never use it. I do the double male cable, tune audio to aux, works great. When I don't use it, I put the cable back in the glove compartment.

i didn't get the ipod option on my car. i rarely listen to my ipod anyway so didn't want to waste the money. found out later that there was a jack in the glove compartment on the right side.
i had a male to male connector so i gave it a try. i figured i needed to put it on aux. and it worked. so my car can play music for my ipod or even my blackberry if i wanted to. pretty awesome.

So here are some pics. It looks like there are 3 scenarios:
1) No iPod - Aux input in the glove compartment
2) Yes iPod - Only iPod connector in the glove compartment (my pics)
3) Yes iPod - both iPod and Aux input in the glove compartment (iatacs19's pics)
I kinda like the idea of not having to access the glove compartment in order to plug in music.
