Stupid me but... how exactely you want to badge the fenders? Where?

And (DISCLAIMER: This is an opinion based on a premature judgement of the situation. It may not reflect the true. Actually, any similarity to the truth is a mere coincidence) I'm also 25 and I've never been treated this manner. Maybe it's just the way you asked, so the guy felt like pissing you off.

I've always treated the guys at my stealership with all respect and manner, on an "friendly" relationship, even though I know most of them cannot afford the AMG.

Also, I don't feel like badging my car all the way. Actually, I find quite elegant the debaged AMGs.

who cares? Does it really bother you?

Enjoy your car and don't worry about what the parts counter guy/coworker/service advisor/friend/enemy, whatever says.

If I was the dealership owner I would of fired their *** on the spot, not really for what they said (seems to be a misunderstanding) but the fact that all this wouldn't of happened if the people that work for the dealership and serves customers actually know something about the product they are servicing and relating to the customers about.

I find it sad that some employees don't even know the product base of what they work with. In the case of this thread, the individuals not knowing that a C63 indeed have the same engine as the S63/CL63,etc. Very sad...as you would think the individuals you take your car to should know a bit about it or atleast the basics.

Reminds me when I walked into dealerships and I have to tell the salesman the specs when I was just 12-14 years old, they really looked stupid and even at that age I was appalled to see it.

Simple philosophy: Know your craft, know your product, respect your customers.

Even if the OP doesn't drive a C63, that's no way to provide customer service.

No worry OP, they must be jealous you only had to pay 60k for same engine in the 160k cars.

Also too bad for theose parts people cause i doubt they can ever afford a C63 well can they even afford filling it up every 2 days?

Laugh and never visit that dealership again!

That’s very unusual for MB parts department they are very helpful, if you don’t feel comfortable at that dealer go to another one there are plenty of stealers on that area, I know people who makes over 6 figure working behind the parts counter.

That sucks that you were treated that way. There is no entry level AMG. The C63 is a sweet ride.

This hardly warrants a thread. Grab the closest pillow and cry it out, life is too short.

No matter what the case, there is NO excuse for treating a customer this way. EVERY, and I mean EVERY customer deserves to be treated politely, with dignity and respect. If one of my guys did that to a customer...Let's just say, it would NEVER happen again, that is completely unacceptable, it does not matter what can you drive, even if you drive a 1974 450SEL, every customer should br treated properly.. I would have asked to see the part manager, if he was not available, I would have walked over to speak to the general manager.

I wonder if Fletcher Jones in Newport is better? When I drove my old 1986 190e to the Vegas Fletcher Jones dealership looking for a C63, a few salespeople just look at me and turn away. Stupid idiots.....I love my 190e because my parents had it since new. Good thing that the SAs and parts people are nicer.

To OP, just get over it and know that you probably drive a nicer car than they do.

Hah, I do the same! I make sure to mention it's the cheapest AMG when people compliment/ask me about it. Honestly the existence of the C63 made me not even consider an E or S...why have a bigger/heavier car w/ the same engine?

OR... you could just let it go, drink some whiskey, smoke a good cigar and get laid. Cheaper, easier (I find it easier anyway) and more satisfactory.

You can even imagine the employee at that dealer boning the sasquash he s got at home, if you find it comforting. I dont.

This thread is so all-over-the-place. I love it.

Although...some of the condescending posts make it very reminiscent of BMW forums.
