I can certainly help. Maybe we should do a NoVa gtg soon as I'm sure the usual C63 guys around here are getting near oil change time as well. I was also thinking of changing my current Euroteck diffuser to that new big fin diffuser once I see more pics, so let me know if you want to buy mine!

Thanks
Well mines a 2010 ppp model so like u say it must be a new fix...looks like I will have to take it some where to do it as the space is limited without having to remove the bumper.
Thanks again.

Mine is a 2010 as well, and the bolts on each side are torq screws.
Are u talking about the rivets that hold the diffuser to the bracket?

I'm very handy working on cars, installing several big turbos, front mount intercoolers, exhausts...but this diffuser install is a PITA...
Next time, I'm just going to have a shop do it.

Bumping this thread again to /rant...
Spent 3 days trying to get my Vorsteiner diffuser on, no success.
Tried grease, tried starting on one side, tried the other side, no success.
Tried to remove the rear bumper, failed when I got to the long extension bolts.
Took it to the Mercedes dealership. Said it took 3 mechanics to put it on, 4 hours of labor. Only charged $100. Worth it. Never taking it off.

Good to hear you got it installed.
I jammed a towel between the bumper cover and the bumper bar to hold the cover firmly out so I could force the tabs into their slots. Removed the towel when the tabs where inserted securely. Job done.

Sorry to bump an old tread, but I am putting my CF face lift diffuser on this weekend. My diffuser is from Tiawan so there are no holes drilled and I'm not sure if there is a place to attach the c63 bracket.
Anyone have experience installing an eBay cf face lift diffuser?
Also any suggestion on which exhaust tips to use? Do I need a conversion or can I just go from dual to quad tips?

I just wanted to post a thank you to the OP for a very high quality write-up. I followed this DIY and installed my VFR diffuser recently. Some good karma for you man.
Only tweak I made was to add a second nut to the end of the long bolt to keep the diffuser from riding up the nut when you push on it with your hand (or go through a car wash where pressure might be applied to the diffuser from the bottom / rear). Other than that, instructions were spot on.

Anyone have an idea how to get the nut on? I am having so much trouble, there is absolutely no space between the diffuser and the body for me to get my hand through to put the nut on and screw it down.
