2010 E63 19s--> fit on C63???

Guys, just saw a 2010 E63 up close yesterday and I loved the wheels. They were 19s and wore 275s out back. Any idea what the offsets are and if they might fit a C63?

If so, that might solve my traction problems and greenlight the K2 tune for me.

Thanks!

I was wondering this too...however it will not solve any traction problems...I have 275s...315s wouldnt be enough rubber for this beast...

451 hp is a lot, but the traction is absolutely awful, so much so that I am considering getting rid of the car. I simply can not take the traction control light going on any more at various driving speeds, launch, passing, corners, etc. BTW...I am running stock P-Zeros by in 265 on back, not that I thought it would help much. They just fit so I figured it couldn't hurt.

Of the 451 hp, the car can only put down 2/3 to the ground. Why is it SO much worse than its peers in traction??

Love the car otherwise, but would love it more without this issue.

Torque.

The M3 has less torque than the 335.

the w212 E class wheels will fit the W204.

So the new W212 E63's wheel will in fact fit your C63.

Let me know if we can help you with either the wheels, or your K2

quaife LSD anyone?

No, no, I know the torque issue is at play. It was more of a rhetorical question as to why didn't AMG/MB address that issue.

The car would be a hell of a lot faster if it could actually utilize ALL of its prodigious power. It doesn't sound like LSD or slightly wider tires will do the trick and low wear tires are too costly of a losing battle.

If memory serves me right the E63 wheels are 255 front and 285 rear - both in the 18"and 19"options. I thought it was concluded that the C63 could max fit 275 without rubbing?

IIRC the widths are 8.5 and 9.5. 275's will fit fine on 9.5's. I would think the offset of the E rear wheel might have to be spot on for a 275 to work problem-free on the C though.

I thought the e class run a 35 offset in the rear and the c63 rears runs a 50 offset.

Not sure of my offsets. But I have 20x8.5/10 and wll be running 245/285 Michelin PS2's.

Got these from peter@wheelexperts and designed with no rubbing.

AMG wheels from a 2005 E55 WILL NOT work on a C63 due to the offset difference pushing the tires out beyond the wheel wells. If the new E is just as wide as the old then this is probably going to be a problem.

c63 AMG, BMW 335 conv
All depends on the offset on the new E wheels.
Does anybody know what they are???
