Got a "check engine oil level at next refueling" sign

Ok, so my car has about 4000 miles. I got my first oil change at around 2500 and ironically on my way to change the oil the same "check engine oil level at next refueling" sign came on. Since I was already going in for a oil change that day that took care of the problem. But only after 1500 miles I'm getting the same message now. When I got my car back the last time I had this message the service advisor told me that the engine oil level was low. Now is this something that can be fixed by just adding a little bit of oil instead getting a complete oil change (which I did just 1500 miles ago)? I remember seeing a thread title regarding how much oil these car use, was this the type of issue that thread was referring to? How much time do I have to add the extra oil as I actually got the message a couple days ago (100 miles or so ago) before I cause damage to the engine?

btw noob question but can oil be added through the engine compartment without going under the car? Is it relatively simple process without having to take apart too many components?

Delete this post, then learn how to search the forum to answer your question, then read the manual and learn how to put oil in your car. There's 2 or 3 threads already on the 1st page regarding this.

There is a vast wealth of information available. Just use search on this website. This is a nearly universal problem and it is asked over and over and over and over again. Glad to have another C63 driver on the board though.

C63 burns oil so just check it and you probably need to add a quart of oil. this will all depend on how hard you drive your car.

Its pretty funny to read these posts. After a drive park your hot C63 in the garage, close the door. Then after a few minutes go back out to the garage and guess what you smell; burnt oil. Very normal with high performance engines.

It's very normal. Just pour 1L oil in then you are ready to go.
