Before and After Dyno

Hello Ladies,

Okay so i am thinking about getting Evosport side markers in Obsidian Black and vinyl wrapping my window trim in matte black vinyl wrap. Does anyone have a before and after dyno to see the power gains. I have heard that the Evosport markers are lighter than the stock ones but i dont know about the window trim. I hope that will increase my performance also. Please help out if you have dynoed your car before you got these done and after. I really want to know.

Thanks,
Steven

Yes you get 1lb weight reduction from the side markers, but the wrap on the trim will add .5lbs so you're only shaving off .5 lbs. But it will make your quarter time .00000001 second faster.

Look at what he drives...it explains for the post

Got to be a joke, but really these kind of posts should stop. We need a more technical and informative forum for the C63. I feel like we spend hours reading this kind of crap and only a few minutes reading good technical information that will help us understand and improve our car.

Really?? I thought the smooth clear coat from painting has less surface tension and thus a better aerodynamic surface?

ahhhh..true, but the lighter weight of the clear lenses, give it better acceleration down low, but as you said, the smoother surface of the painted ones, give you better top end power.

Hmmmm...that does make sense that the clear markers would give you a better power-to-weight ratio due to the weight of the paint itself. But like you said, it would probably be an even trade-off between the smoother aerodynamic surface and the lighter weight of the clear ones.
