Uhm... 3k? That would be a deal. My all in for the fenders and repaint was closer to 6k. And I should have spent more on the paint: It was the wrong place to try and save a buck. An extra $500 would have gone a long way towards better sanding and finishing.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the heck out of what I had done and how it came out. I just happen to be something of a perfectionist.

What it takes to get a rear end like that is 12 weeks of patience, two attempts at getting the sides to match each other, and a metric buttload of dollars given to the right people. There has been talk of making a kit from it, and I'd like to see that happen so everyone else can share in the feeling of 315s hooking up under power. It's nice. The fenders and doors are steel, so those parts would be difficult to replicate easily, but the changes to the bumper and sills were done in fiberglass, so that's not as bad.

We also patched in the front bumper reflector holes to clean it up even more. I just wanted to keep the mods looking as factory-issue as possible.

And yes, the front fenders are rolled a little to help with clearance on the 255s.

By the way, those are great pics! I love the saturation.

Very nicesssssss but wait until you see the Eurorev wide track, wide body, 2 door C63. They pretty much removed all interiors part, cut the chasiss in half and widen the chassis about 1 foot. I was at the shop and can't believe they would do that to a brand new C63.

Yeah, I saw it at the EuroRev customer day. Very nicely done work (very nicely done!), but I didn't really care for the styling. And 3 months without my car was too much. I can't imagine a year or more... Oh, the pain. Besides, I wanted a sedan, so I bought a sedan. Know what I mean?
