265/35R18 Dunlop Star Spec Z1

This is what they look like on the rears. The car rides much more stabler on the highway and hooks up very nicely.

Great look. Does the car feel heavier or less agile as the tires are wider than OEM? How are they in the rain (your garage floor looks all wet)?

The car feels more planted, so in a sense a bit heavier. Not sure if they are more or less agile right now since it's been pouring rain near my place and will be for the next couple of months. North West for the lose?

Wet performance is superb, the tires grip a lot better than the stock Pirreli's ESP kicks in a lot less frequently.

Have you had any issues with the ESP turning on since you went for a slightly wider tire? i am considering going to 245 and 265 for the rear so basically +1 from OEM.

yeah i just ordered a set 245/40/18,265/35/18 for mine yesterday. i had 400 treadwear rating 275/35/16 bridgestones on the rear of mine they lasted 10k. the pzeros lasted 6k. looks like no matter what you do the rears arent gonna last very long. Might as well have grip and handling for the mileage you do get. Dont bother buying tires with mileage warranties they wont honor them since you cant rotate the tires.

It's weird that the Dunlops are very limited in size. They make 285s but only for 20s and 21s not 19s. I don't understand why because 285/30/19 is a great size for c63 tires (rear). Hopefully they'll add it soon.

I always found that Hankook provided great tires at a bargain so placing 2nd confirms they are a great option.

thanks for the pics

anyone think that i can run 275 star spec instead of 265. I know our stock rims can run 275 tires normally but star spec is known to be one size wider than most other tires

You most definitely can run 275's. I have a set on my C63 and they're great! No rubbing, lots of grip, way better than stock.
