Stock Cam(s)?
What do they do with the heads? P&P? Larger Valves? Higher Compression? Do you have to run race gas all the time now?
How is streetability now with this new tune/power? Any surge bucking issues?
Pardon all the questions, but very interesting in duplicating this car eventually.
Daily Driver Low 11 Second Merc is a dream.

The cams are stock for now.
The heads have stock size valves. All head work porting and polishing was done preparing for the new cams. We picked up about 20-25rwhp with the head work.
No driveability issues at all. I run 100 octane for race days only to make sure we don't lose any timing. Otherwise I run 93 octane. This is my everyday driver.
Car drives great every day!!
This car has gone 11.48 @ 121.58 in much better conditions. I was happy we could beat the record with the conditions last night. The MPH tells me we definitely picked up power. Similar conditions to my 11.48 run would have put us in the lower 11's.

Thanks for the kudos and I look forward to meeting all of you at MIR IF the weather improves. Now its supposed to rain and possibly snow??
Managed to sqeeze out an 8.76 in the 60-130 run last weekend because the weather was a little cooler and we made a couple more small mods.

Good Evening,
Went to Orlando Speedworld tonight in anticipation to running some faster times. Unfortunately it took all night but we made it. The DA at 9:55pm when I made the last run was -494 in Orlando. The only challenge was 71% humidity which did give me some traction problems at certain places down the 1320. No matter what, I'll take it!! I have the run on video and will post it up later.
1st run was 11.548 @ 121.74. (1.726 60')
2nd run was 11.528 @ 122.29. (1.745 60')
3rd run was 11.515 @ 122.36. (1.751 60')
4th run was 11.507 @ 122.37. (1.748 60')
5th and final run was 11.459 @ 122.52!! (1.732 60')
Thank you Andy at MHP for helping me set this new record time.
Thanks to Jerry at Jerry's MB and Larry at Macedo Motorsports for all your help also!! Performance parts don't do me any good in the box.
Can't wait for MIR next wekend!!

Howard is correct. The car is much more fun without the ESP. I do not drag race or road race with the ESP on at all. It belongs in the OFF position.
Isn't it in the manual somewhere that if you want to enjoy the car more you are supposd to turn off the ESP when you start it? I am sure I read that somewhere.
MIR has been cancelled this weekend but they are trying to reschedule it for next Sunday.
