Newbie! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, Just got my c63 silver... 09 with 2k miles on it...

I have owned clk55 ,e55, e63, Viper 08 ACR, and a few z06s... My point being, I have driven lots of fun cars....

My GOD, this car is FUN!! This could be the best ever! I feel like a little kid driving it around town.. Burn out after Burn out!!

I also just installed my new exhaust on my Z06, thinking I would drive it all weekend.. Nope... I could not get enough of the C63...

I am going to upgrade the ECU, wheels and leave it at that...

I am between the EVOSPORT, and the Klemann.. Both are about the same price.. Just worried about the warranty.. but not much..

What Should I do...

Congrats on the car. this thread is worthless without pics. If you have so many cars, money seems to not be an issue so go with a company that is local for for your ECU upgrade.

The viper ACR is the current world record fatory car (quickest ) to do the Nurburgring lap.The C63 AMG is ok, it lacks in a few aspects primarily in traction(rear tires are pathetic in size). I find amaizing that you find the C63 more fun than the Viper ACR..

Where are you located? As for the tune I would go with someone you trust that is close to you and see what they offer whether it be EVOsport, RENNtech or Kleemann.

I think MHP/MKB are getting the most performance out of ECUs right now, but they are expensive. LET would probably be the cheapest

2009 - C63 Black/Black
Hello Chase Drive - I wanted to drop you a line because I noticed you may go for an ECU upgrade.

I'm not one to bad mouth anyone on the forum but I have had both Renntech and Kleeman upgrades installed on my C63 and neither of them produced the stated gains from their websites. Again I’m not saying anything bad about either company as they are both very well respected and have a large following of satisfied customers; however for some reason I just didn’t see the gains. Both vendors claimed that the ecu upgrade was done correctly after reviewing the files however the dyno just didn’t show what they said I should have been feeling.

I know there are others on this site that have had good luck with both products but I assure you that none of them have had all 3 upgrades like I have.

To make a long story short I returned both upgrades and after a month of decision making finally went with MHP. I will tell strait up that the MHP upgrade is worth 2 times the price and is hands down faster than any Kleeman or Renntech ecu upgrade on this same car. I do not know what MHP does but it is defiantly faster! Yes, I know it’s more expensive but I’m certain if anyone has a Renntech or Kleeman upgrade they could feel the difference if they were to drive my car.

Also I forgot to tell you that when I started this process I called MHP on Sunday afternoon anticipating a voicemail.. No voice mail.. I actually spoke directly with the owner “Andy” for about an hour.

Try calling Renntech or Kleeman on Sat/Sun or even after 5pm during the week and see what you get… They are both big companies and have sales people that talk to people like you and I during the day and they all go home at 5pm. Andy is the owner and the sales guy and he does not sleep at all and wants to help people like you and I get the best for our money.

I may be stepping out on a limb here but If anyone is interested in driving my car with the MHP upgrade and are in the Raleigh, NC area let me know.

As soon as I get past the break in period I will post some numbers from the dyno..

Good luck on your choice but I would go with MHP all over again….
