I have 2 Thunderbolt stainless steel metal substrate high-flow secondary cats only (kept my oem primary cats)...should be a gain of approx. 10-15WHP although I haven't re-dyno'd.

Do you mind my asking where you got them installed? Were you happy with the workmanship? I am also in S. Fla. area and am curious as to where there is a local shop that is reputable and can do a proper welding job.

I was thinking about replacing my secondaries with 2 Vibrant SS resonators. They are 2.5" in/out with a body of 4.5". What is the body size of the Thunderbolt cats? I was concerned that the dual 4.5" (overall diameter) might rub against eachother. Did you ever take any pics?

My Thunderbolt ss high-flow cats are 2.5" in/out with about a 4" body...seems to be the perfect size to attach to existing exhaust system with no problems. I even had the exhaust shop reattach (weld) the steel protection plate back on under the cats so it looks stock (sorry, no pics).

Thanks. I wished that the Vibrants came in a 4" body instead of a 4.5".

No, its much cheaper to weld in universal units so we pass on the savings to the consumer by simply recommending which ones to get. Bolt-on is over rated when it comes to cats, just get the high flow TB ones and you should be fine. Everyone has been happy with them and they are available at a great price and fit perfectly.
