To those folks who went with the A/S+'s or Conti DWS' - what are your thoughts now that youve got some miles under your belt? Do you ever mash it or take a corner and roll your eyes thinking "man this grip is weak" or is it really not a noticeable difference?

Got 9k out of my T1-R's with a 30,000 mile warranty so have a 66% credit to use towards any tires. None of my preferences (Yoko Advan Neova, PS2, etc) have a mileage warranty so may need to go all season to get the deal. If you guys are saying there is no sacrifice in grip and that it does not diminish the fun factor of the c63 one bit, Im in.

Curious to hear your feedback.

I honestly haven't seen much difference in grip/handling with my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S + tires....I haven't heard any squealing and I can spin them a bit in 1st and 2nd gear when I really get on it; with a 45k mile warranty, it's great to get a new set of rear tires for less than the cost of 1 tire (I get ~ 12k mi. on the the rears)!

I agree, cant beat getting cheap tires. I think I'm going to get a set all around as Ive got 14k and my fronts are starting to get pretty low too.

$700 for the set after my credit on the rears. If I get 15k out of them I'll get another 66% credit and keep on rolling. Im diggin it, just hope the tires are sticky, I'll be super bummed if they are weak!

Totally agree. I have about 4k on mine now and really like the performance to wear ratio......

I have no issues with my Michelin A/S+. I drive aggressively and honestly can't tell the difference.

The DW isn't an all-season tire. The DWS is, and I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Just picked up the AS+ and so far so good.

$750 out the door for all 4 including lifetime replacement and a 45000 mile warranty, after $266 in credit for my T1R's that didnt last.

First impressions - the ride is MUCH smoother and quieter. Only driven 10 miles or so so no feedback on grip yet obviously but hoping for the best.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

Based on this thread, I am going to purchase a full set of the Pilot Sport A/S Plus for my S63. Although the OEM Pirelli's handle very well, I really want to find a tire that gives me more than 8k of life (rear tires). I, too, live in warm weather (FL). Will let you know after I get them on.

I'm here in FL and although we of course do not see any snow, I've been enjoying my Mich Pilot Sport A/S+ tires...getting about 12k mi. on the rear and then getting a new set for less than the cost of 1 tire (with their 45k mi. tread wear warranty).

FWIW, I've noticed that they're fairly evenly worn out (left vs. right) though...maybe the right one is worn an additional 5-10% with no LSD on my car.

tire discounters and numerous other tire retailers told me unless they can be rotated front to back then the warranty is NO good. so i think you are getting awefully good service so stick with those guys. burn that perk up my friend.

can you get the michelin pilot sport all season tires online... and still be able to get the warranty by going to a local tire shop? is the best thing to do is go to a local tire shop like discount tires or ntb and get it directly through them?

I would think that the Michelin mileage warranty still applies when you purchase them online; just ask your online retailer how credits are dealt with should the tires wear out prematurely. I would imagine you would have to reorder a new set through them again and of course, you still have to mount them yourself...so it may just be better to try to get a good deal at a local tire shop.

I just took a look at my Discount Tire receipt that clearly indicates a 45,000 mile warranty. Upon a very detailed reading of the "warranty", there is NO mention of tire rotation!! Just FYI.....

I was told SPECIFICALLY by my guy @ DTD that Michelin honors their warrantees with or without tire rotation. He pointed that out.

Yep, since my last set wore out at almost 10k mi, I just paid $240 for a new set of rear 265/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S+ tires...the guy at the tire store jut needed to call Michelin for a prorated cost and authorization.

NICE! i will push this issue with my Yokos if i need to. im sure they wont last 45k miles. i think thats the warranty on them. ill have to check. but my tire associate told me it would not apply since i could not rotate them front to rear. i need to read the fine print and see. thanks guys.

just read the warranty brochure. (Additionally, the customer must provide proof that
the tires have been rotated every 6,000 to 8,000 miles.)

looks like im out of the warranty claims division! ha ha i dont care really. but it is nice that some of you were able to take advantage of a warranty policy.
