Your killin' me by letting this one go...after all, it was great to know I had a twin out there burning rubber around Chi Town...I wish you the best, I know its a hard decision but you gotta do what you gotta do...are you sure you WANT to let this beauty go? It can be used as a DD, but you will lose a lot by trading it in. Only hope everything works out for you, let me know if I can help in any way.

Hhaha I know Zephyr!!!! I honestly dont WANT to see it go, come on!! But it seems like a smart financial move on my part to try to let it go..for now

If you know anyone who wants to pick up the lease, shoot, lemme know..and who knows, if all else fails, I might just end up getting stuck with it

You will be stuck with it. No one will lease a car at 1100 nowadays with this wonderful economy. Also I could of leased one for less then a thousand if i had wanted to with 3k pickup.

Dude you are a class act. You have nothing better to do than go around dumping on this guys thread when hes trying to sell his car?

If you go lease a 2010 C63 right now its more than 1100 a month...go ahead and try it. With his car you dont have to keep it as long (a big plus for lease people) and you pay zero down. If he throws in $3k you're looking at a payment in the mid 9's with zero down, more mileage than a standard lease and fewer months.

For someone who wants to lease a C63, taking over someone elses is MUCH wiser than getting it new.

And there are plenty of people doing just fine in this economy - we all bought C63's in the midst of the mess didnt we? I would say the demographic on this board, where he is advertising his car, is probably not doing too bad.

Dont mean to get in the middle of it but its nuts to see someone with so much motivation to see someone else fail that they chase them around a messageboard spreading incorrect information. Especially someone they dont even know over the internet.

In all fairness you should offer some type of an incentive for a prospective new Lessee to take your car. At the minimum pay the transfer fees and offer to ship the car at your cost.

I have a couple of things that you should consider. Have you looked over your lease contract to determine whether you can assign your lease? Have you called the leasing company to confirm? Some contracts do not allow for the assignment of the lease but some do. Also, you need to make sure that if you can assign your lease, that you do so in a manner that takes you off the hook personally (again, assuming the leasing company allows this). Sometimes, people assign leases without realizing that they remain liable under the lease. If the person that assumes the lease does not make payment, you may be personally liable to make the payment and you won't have the car either. And at the end of the lease, if the car is in bad shape, guess who could be on the hook for the money owed...

I had previously tried to get rid of a leased car by assigning the lease. However, the leasing company did not agree to do so so I had to trade the car in. The dealer purchased the car from the leasing company and I paid the deficit between the purchase price and the trade price. It was not much so I was lucky in that regard. You may want to call your leasing company and find out how much it will cost to purchase the car outright prior to the end of the lease and then compare that to the value of the car. A small loss may be better in terms of hassles than assigning the lease.

Hope this was useful to you.

mbe3504matic - I reviewed some of your post history on this forum. IMO, you've contributed nothing constructive. It's your right to post inane, uneducated comments -- and you do it well.

How is it uneducated? I am posting the truth. You can lease a c63 for under a thousand and a brand new one. Not a used one. If its such a great deal then it should have been gone now. This car has been depreciating faster then anything I have seen. I own this car too so i know what I am talking about. I bought this car for almost 14k off sticker. Once you drive off the lot the car is worth another 20% less. So for him to try and not sweeten the deal and make it sound like he is doing another forum member a favor is ridiculous.

You can not lease a $68k C63 for under $1k a month with over 1000 miles a month allowed and nothing down. You are out of your mind and a mod should probably ban you from posting any more on the subject, you're just posting lies at this point.

+++++1. Be helpful or criticize constructively, but dont bash on someone trying to put up an offer. It's a discussion and support board, not a witch hunt. You don't go into the GAP and go off on them saying no one would buy thier shirt...you just don't go in and buy...
