That vinyled carbon sheet roof looks pretty good. I had my roof vinyled a satin/matte black and it turned out sharp. Definitley gives the car a sublte, yet even more sporty look.

the vinyl looks pretty good but i would rather put on one of these carbon sheets to keep the same look as the hood and other carbon pieces . now if i went with matte carbon on the hood and other pieces then i would just try this vinyl out .

One of the shop put on a carbon sheet on C63 roof so I thought that you wanted to look at it and how it will look.
Looks really nice.

Are the heat extracting vents functional or cosmetic? Can't tell with one pic from the top.

This is the only decent picture that I have, but I think it will give you the basic idea.

I think this makes it more of a sleeper, esp. at night. Often times I see a C in white and then realize it's not a '63 because of the black roofing. With this CF vinyl, I wouldn't be surprised if people mistook it for a C300/350

But anyone that knew the C63 can't do the glass roof would see the two majestic hills in the hood and know what's what fairly quickly...

That is great news. 45+ days would have been a long wait. Are you planning to use lighter struts? Looking forward to pictures and a review.

I noticed the seller updated the eBay listing with some new photos. It must be your hood BAD430BENZ! The quality looks really good. Can't wait to hear how it fits. I like the fact they added a mesh grille for the vents as well.

I was hoping for a head on eye level shot but I'm sure we'll see more pictures from BAD430BENZ. I kinda wish the edges around the vents didn't sit as high and slightly more subtle, but have to wait to see it installed.

I'm liking this hood more and more and might pull the trigger...I'm just questioning the heat-venting ability for those who live in 100°+ ambient climates, based on what I see of the vents and their placement.

well , being in el paso , tx , i can tell you that the vents do a make a bit of a difference as far as heat venting . since we are from such hot cities , the heat under the hood is always going to be there . i know during really hot days , you can see the fumes coming from the vents so i guess they work .

Guys, there seems to be some interest in Stone Carbon CF vented hood here. In the past both BAD and Patboyy have tried to set up GB on these hoods but they went no where, so Patboyy went just bought ours direct. I am not sure if he is doing the vented hood anymore, but you should drop them a email and see. Contact is
Carl Lan Email: stone.carbon.cn@gmail.com and he is very responsive. A good guy to deal with.
