Just installed Hankooks V12 Evo!!!
Hey guys, just wanted share some feedback cuz i know a bunch guys are looking for replacement tires and info. Anyway, I just installed sum Hankooks, Hankooks Ventus V12 EVO 265/35/ZR18 Summer high performance tires. I put about 90 miles on them today, and so far all I gotta say is wow, grips and hooks better than the pirelli's and quieter than the pirelli's. But thats just 90 miles on them, so will see how they hold up. Have not heard of alot of guys installing hankooks, so I decided to give them A try and so far not dissapointed. Oh, and the price was $360 all together for tires/balance/tax/install. Have a nice day Gents!

I love Hankook and wanted to go with the evo V12 for lapping after reading a lot of good reviews and having also had the Z211 (R compound) + 2 other models from them. Hankook is definetely underated. After some research I think I will go with the new Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 (closest street tire to R compound) that had some amazing reviews surpassing pretty much every available street tire on the market while still being cheaper than the PS2s (and better!).
I you do track the V12 please let us know how they do!
thanks

You probably know this but 40% is according to the width of the tire for the aspect ratio so as an example, 235/40/18 and 275/40/18 is very different. While 235/40 is relatively low profile, 275/40 is not.
I'm also pretty sure 275/40 would rub on a stock suspension (definetely rub on a lowered one) but it might not. The look will not be so great though compared to the stock tires which are 255/35 (pretty much the equivalent to 275/30 "profile wise")
On the other hand hankook does offer 275/35ZR18 but the profile will not be as low as the stock Pzero tires.
I haven't found anyone offering 275/30/18. That's one of the advantages of going to light 19 inch wheels since there are plenty of 275/30/19 (back) and 245/35/19 (front)
I hope this helps!

I am thinking of getting the exact same tires for spring.
the tires where very well ranked by car and driver in this article:

Thanks for the C63 owner review

Havent really "Pushed" them to the limit yet as far as cornering, but they dont feel weak, but rather confidence inspiring. We usally have bi-weekly meets here in So. Cal and when we do meet we usually go out for a very spiritd driving, thats when I'll have a better idea as far as cornering, cuz thats when i really push the car. The next meet should be next week, so I'll follow up after, and share some new info.

Ill take a few shots. I have the Hankooks 275's. No rubbing. They look HOT! Nice and wide. Give the C63 a way more stout look with the 245's in the front.
I have about 300 miles or so on them. At first I was thinking they sucked. After about 200 miles they started to grip much better. At 300 miles I can really launch the beast well and control the wheel spin better than the P zero's. P zero's in 275's would grip like crazy I think.
Im going Star Specs as soon as my fronts and these rears go in 4K miles.

FWIW I also just put on V-12's in 265 on the rears. Without a doubt they stick better than the P Zeros, in fact there is no comparison. Time will tell how well the Hankooks work out but the preliminary results are very promising for a budget tire. The 265's give the C63 the perfect nose/tail attitude, better than the 275''s which side-by-side appear to pitch the nose down a little too much for my taste. IMHO. BTW, I was in Vancouver BC for ten days and only saw two C63's, one which was parked two days in a row on Robson between Burrard and Thurlow, and one today on the way to YVR, a red one just off Granville (Restoration Hardware area) on 11th. I thought I would see a bunch. If you saw a silver Z4 M Coupe tooling around downtown and Kits that was me!
