Yes those tire sizes are fine.

Some tires run wider then others so a 265 Michelin PS2 will be as wide has a 275 Hankook for example.
What kind of tires are you planing on getting?

The Yokohama Advan Sports are what we were thinking of using...

Does anyone here run the size combo that I mentioned before by any chance?

No, it wont rub.
Plus it mostly depends on your tire setup.

With your current offsets 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear would work fine.

neat, i'm looking to get a set of wheels in the spring, with the Michelin super sports (265/30/19) on a 19x10 rim in the back. I'll be asking again once it gets closer to actually putting down the order. Might need to safe a few mm's to make sure the wheel will clear the calipers with spacers..

I'm still undecided. Narrowed it down to a few choices but they are on very different ends of the spectrum. I'll decide during the winter on what I want.

i'm going to lower it with H&Rs when i order the rims. I can't roll around in 19s without a drop. Thanks for the input! I'm probably going with 265/30/19 michelin super sports in the back, but i heard those run wide.

on my 19x10 rear the biggest i can go is 255/30/19. 265 touches if any one sits in the back and my car is lowered

If you're worried about rubbing and you want to run wider rears, why dont' you just go with 9.5" rears? I have 9.5" rears on my 19"s and have no issues with running 275's.

i'm more worried about the offsets causing rubbing. 19x10 stretching out a 265 in the back would probably help against rubbing. I want it flush but not rubbing, it's gonna be tough deciding the exact offset to achieve the look.

so just a question why does HRE sell you a wheel that's 19x10 et51? then make you shave material off the wheel to get it to fit? I consider HRE to be pretty much the best in the wheel business which is why I'm scratching my head at this one.

I think sjhugh had to shave the base plate on the rears as he's running a 10" rim. My 20" HRE are also ET51 on the rear but on a 9.5" rim with 285/25/20 Pirelli P Zero. The only time they rub is when I have people in the back and it's not that bad. If my car wasn't so low there wouldn't be any rubbing.

Shouldn't HRE compensate for that? I run a 10" wheel and 275's lowered and never rub. I'm not talking bad about HRE, like I said to me they are #1 in the wheel business. my guess would be wheels made for non-lowered car? but still I would be scared to start shaving material off my very nice new HRE's. Either way they look fantastic the stance is perfect and the color is right on.

That’s a very valid question and the only true answer would have to come from HRE. By the way, they’re 20’s not 19’s.

I’ve had these rims for a couple of years and when I purchased them, very few owners were fitting 20x10 on these cars. 19x10 and 9.5 were slowly becoming popular and the occasional 20x9.5 but hardly any 20x10. Any way I was prepared to do whatever to get 285’s on a 20x10” rim under the rear excluding any major body modifications and I also wanted to do it with the car lowered.

The original ET51 offset had the rim flush with the fender and looked terrific, unfortunately the 285’s only just touched but touched enough to rubbed constantly. So much so I couldn’t drive it. I could have fitted 275’s as they would have been perfect but I didn’t want 275’s.

I decided the easiest option to stop the rubbing issue was to bring the rim inwards. After a lot of trial fitting, measuring and re-measuring to ensure the inner part of the rim wouldn’t foul anything if it was brought inwards, the rims were taken to a rim manufacturer. Before they were prepared to do any work on them, they checked to ensure they could remove material without compromising the integrity of the rim, they found there was plenty of meat where the bolts seated. They then turned them in their own lathe. One thing they did say about the HRE’s was that they were very well built and had a lot of scope for modification. They were very impressed by them and said the finish was great and I have to agree.

All they needed to remove from the base plate was 5mm (0.19 of an inch) and this allowed clearance for the 285’s. That’s not much at all. It’s now lowered and I can have 4 people in the car without any rubbing what so ever. As far as I’m concerned it was worth what I would consider to be a very little effort mod to the rims.

If I was to purchase them again, I would ask HRE is adjust the rear offset slightly and I would also ask for a change in the front offsets on the 20x8.5. I believe the rim needs to come out a bit more, possibly 10mm (0.39 of an inch).

As I said, I’ve had these rims for a couple of years and for all I know HRE may have already changed the offset in the production process. If not, they may have a good reason why they are the way that they are. I’ve also noticed a number of other brands where the owners have had rubbing issues so it’s not just a HRE thing. Tyre choice in width and profile play a part, also how low you want to go with the car and I now have only a few mm clearance on the inside of the rim, it’s possible that reason alone could turn a manufacturer off. HRE must be doing something right though as I get a lot of comments on how good the rims look.

It would be impossible to cater for every need and that’s why these manufacturers offer ‘made to order’ rims and you can supply your own offset if you wish. To be fair, 9.5 is really the perfect size for this vehicle and that how Mercedes-Benz designed it.

.
