What happened to the top spoke of the wheel? maybe it's just the reflection or it's dirty but it looks like the paint finish is not smooth?

Hello, been doing a little searching and am wondering if anyone can point me towards a nice set of Carbon Fiber spoked wheels. I like the 8-10 spoke look and dont think I'd want to wrap. I was reading somewhere and it was saying that a wheel made entirely of CF wouldn't be safe to use as driving wheels, just show. So in that case I'd like just the spokes CF. More specifically, Id like to have the spokes CF, the lip/bolts white to match paint and the entire inside bay black. Please help.

Also, been reading for a while until I chose to join up. Love the community. Can't wait for my promotion to get my new C63!

Carbon fiber is not good in compression so I wouldnt do carbon fiber wheels at all.

maybe you can carbon fiber wrap a wheel of your choice?

I had a feeling wrap was going to be the best solution. Im just worried about the wrap itself. Is it worth the trouble to get it wraped? I've seen plenty of pictures and videos having it done, but not much on how it lasts.

I guess I should just go with a nice black wheel with white accents, for some reason I just can't wrap my head around wraping vinyl on my wheels just for looks (no pun intended).

... I told you carbon fiber finish on a forged wheel. The wheel isnt carbon fiber it and much better than a stupid vinyl wrapped wheel.

Thanks, I found the link earlier after your first post. Those look really nice. I didnt realize they were finished and not wrapped. There is a thread on these forums that said they were wrapped, so my apologies.

Carbon fiber finish can be done and it works! Carbon fiber wheels no! Just select a design you like and a carbon fiber finish, that's all! Here's something we did recently, exactly what the customer wanted.

I think You mean H&R springs.

If I were to order new wheels at the moment, I would go this way:
- Rear: 10J x 19" ET50 (or higher)
- Front: 9J x 19" ET40
(aggressive offset).

It all depends on the wheel design - whether it's monoblock or 3-piece, reverse lip or step lip or no lip, concave or flat.

What's you budget? 19" wheel prices can vary from $1600 a set for cast wheels to $6500 for forged multi-piece wheel.

That would be something like we have with out FMS-05 wheel! Budget in that size is there, polished lips, it can be done without a problem! Here's is what it looks like on a CLS550 we did a few months ago.

Sickest wheel ever
But I honestly think it's out of the $5000 budget.
And if you're gonna go with a step lip, You might wanna think about 20"

C63 on HRE C93 20"
