What is the wheel and finish for the second wheel (gloss)?

 

just bought some black cf10's. can someone please send me a link to some black lug nuts and wheel locks? not sure about sizing and whatnot.

 

Try ACG. I bought mine off Tal. Black lug nut and REguard wheel locks (a japanese brand)

 

Just installed the Forgestar F14's and PSS set up I bought from a member here. I really like the transformation in the new look these wheels have given my mistress! Black lug nuts and H&R springs are next.

I recently bought a set of Forgestar wheels from a board member and really like them except... they are textured black finish. The thing is they hold tons of brake dust and dirt. I have been washing by hand and used brake dust cleaner. The only way to get a decent sheen to them is to apply a wax of sorts so they dont look so dry hence they attract more crud there too. Can anyone tell me if it is the wheel or paint that is actually textured? The reson I ask is that I think Ill want to have them powder coated in satin or gloss but wonder if the wheel will need polishing first for the correct look once done. I preach to all mt friends never go flat on any paint for the reasons mentioned above and here I am. LOL.

 

It is the powercoated finish that is textured. If you have them refinished properly (ie. sandblasted and re-powercoated) you will be fine.

Yeah, I think satin is the way to go with the look I'm trying achieve anyway. I did get a really good deal on them so... Next tire change and it's to the powder coaters. That shouldn't be long .

 

F 19x8.5 ET40 Michelin 245/35-19

Some quickie phone pics at ACGSD and outside later. Am (surprisingly, to me) getting occasional fender lip rubbing on both rears, will raise both rear coilovers 1/4".

Very surprising you rub in the rear actually. HHow lower are you on the coilover? Same as the springs or a little bit more?

Thanks. I forget whether I dropped it 0.5" or 0.75" more than the OE P30 spec, pretty conservative by this peer group standard I would think.

you can find them in dark grey also, shop around, sometimes you can find 20 for <$10 shipped

Bart, the PSS runs wider than other brand, so rubbing was very probable. 275/30 PSS is like 285/30 Contis (pretty much as comparison). I would change brand or go down to 265/30.

Mike888, for a second I thought u were olszowa12 cuz ur estate has the same front lip & drop as him. Beautiful Klassen!!

 

Agreed - I using new 265 PSS' on the 19x9.5 PUR wheels with no problem so the 275 PSS is clearly at the tipping point. There are lots of people out there using this rear setup though so I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it.

Seriously, I agree with u.. I find it very strange when ppl post they are running (for example) 19x10 +48 or +50 w/275/30 w/o rubbing.

I can't even get away with 19x9.5 +50 & 275/30. All is good with 265/30 now.
